How about that only forces can use all techs? Sure Sega may say "we're balancing it" but instead of making NEW techs for forces they just crippled non forces.

Hunters and Rangers are pretty much warriors, proficient with weapons. It actually doesn't make sense that they would know all those Techniques, since that's not what they specialize in.
Furthermore, Shifta/Deband on a HUmar was pretty unbalancing. On Dreamcast, the most powerful class was always HUmar, hands down. No balance. You had to be wanting to be under-powered not to play a HUmar.

I mean come ON, only forces can use reverser? They are the FIRST to die! That's utterly pathetic, and it truly pisses me off that non forces are forced to carry around moon atomizers.

In regular RPGs, revival spells were also given to the weaker-in-defence mages, and it worked out fine. It's only logical. I'm also not sure of being the first to die in a team. It depends on how you play them. Their Techniques give them a good range, so I doubt they get much hits. But I can understand for boss battles. Though, you shouldn't go in a boss battle if you can't survive it in the first place.

I've also heard that shifta/deband range is pathetic on GC.

Play a FOmarl, they specialize in support. Or other Forces, which have better range because of Technique level. The other classes are pretty much warriors, that don't specialize in Techniques and hence wouldn't have that great range. Though, playing a HUnewearl among others, I don't think it's that bad a range.
You say that you 'heard' all this stuff. Why not try it out yourself instead of bashing it just on hearsay?
