uh Nintendo hasnt announced anything about they're Next Generation system yet. theyre to busy focusing on GameCube, GBA and theyre upcomming Nintendo DualScreen at the moment. also XBOX 2 wont be backwards compatable it seams, mainly due to the fact it Will Not have a HardDrive and will not use a Pentium4 or other Microsoft related CPU.

Backwards compatibility is just an extra... Consoles didn't use to have it anyway.<br>I prefer playing the game in its original console. Just feels right.

Actually, the Dual Screen is Nintendo's next "gamecube" so to speak. It will be backwards compatible with both GBA games and Gamecube games. Sounds odd, I know, but it is quite true. I was hoping for a console like the Gamecube. Also, the Dual Screen won't be a replacement for the next GBA. They're developing a new Game Boy too.

That's not what I heard. The DS will be a separate product, which will go the same way as the next Game Boy and GameCube 2.

What's your source? Mine is EGM and several Nintendo interviews. If they are planning a second Gamecube, they haven't given any indication that I've seen.
