Here's an interesting one. I personally choose traps, unless i am going in with a force, they're spells are stronger than a different classes.

I am one for techniques/spells/magic. That and explosives is where I find the most joy as I am one that enjoys Destruction and have a highly destructive nature at times when I am not calm and content

Traps' effects almost always work, and they cost less money to maintain, but they don't have the diversity that techniques have nor do they have the destructive power of a strong technique. Personally, I go for techniques, but if you want to reek havoc through status ailments, pick traps.

I go for techniques, even if I have lost interest in forces soon after I created one, usually techniques have wider range, and more variety, it only requires a little strategy.

It depends on the area and the monster: much better a confusion trap, when surrounded by Garanz in TTF...anyway, much does the player's ability.

I guess i don't make the majority. I like traps mostly because the freeze trap, it always freezes unlike the barta techniques. I do miss resta during dark falz though. I hate being limited to 30 heals.

Traps because the are easier to use than spells for Hunters and Rangers.

techs for sure. not as much for the attacking range, but more for the resta/anti/shifta/deband. too bad the humar gets jellen/zalure instead of shifta/deband, i wud be happy then. but i agree that freeze traps are extremely helpful and the trap vision that comes with traps can definitly come in handy, but i like the at least 6 or 7 heals a tp bar better

HUmars have Shifta/Deband on the Dreamcast version.
They were way too powerful with it. They got taken away as part of balancing the classes.
It's much better now.

Wow, thats interesting. I guess you would be right about them being powerful. I'm trying to stay ahead or close to jherms stats, but all i suceed in is ATP,HP and LCK. I would be lower in DFP to if it weren't for my lucky armour find.

And their ability to use 100 more materials doesn't help us androids either. I would have tried to max my LCK if i could use 250 materials. I used alot on EVP and DFP

Read this guide for wisely using your materials:
http://www.planetdreamcast.com/psoworld/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=940
HUmars were powerful, but Ultimate was insane back on the Dreamcast. Shifta/Deband was a real help.
Only way to do decent damage was doing Shifta/Deband/Jellen/Zalure. But even that doesn't really help anymore in Mine. I never got past Mine... It was too tough. So tough it took me two hours to clear Mine 1. I gave up. You depended on the rare weapons with good percents you found. I didn't find that much.
Heh, this deservers its own topic.
