Looks like SonicTeam has finaly took some action agenist the people stupid enough to use codes Online. along with spammers that enjoy flooding the lobby and people who cuss, r hatefull, and make face chats that are inapropreate.
so now everyone here worried about possible PKers and such hopefully dont have to worry now. enstead now u have to worry about stuck up people trying to blame others for spamming, cussing, and face chats they dont like. so like if ur in a lobby and someones asks u to repeat a website url, face chat, or trys to pick a fight with u he's probly gonna take a pic to email to SonicTeam as a kind of proufe to help try to ban ya.

I hate how duping has broken the trust between people.

Screenshots are only optional though :) Most important is..
Location: Ship and Block.
Time of Offense: PLEASE USE PSO IN-GAME TIME!
[From XX:XX to XX:XX and date]
Username: EXACTLY how it appears onscreen: pay close attention to caps and text symbols.
Please include your username as well.
Guild Card numbers: Theirs and yours. This is very helpful, although we realize that this can be hard to get.
Pretty cool this news. I hope they get rid of alot of spammers!

Hmm...I've heard about that. Found it out from Garrett's post regarding this subject on the PSOW Home Page.
It's good to know that Sonic Team is finally taking some form of action at last. Maybe I don't have to worry so much about the common problems on PSO online now that Sonic Team is getting involved by listening to their customers' complaints. I can't wait to go online. :)

How can people hack if you can't surf the internet? I understand duping, but how can a duped Parasitic Gene "Flow" go around if it can't be found? Which means it was hacked but how can they hack?

I hope it will be used correctly...and not banning someone whose only fault is not being loved by some lamers. It's a double-edge weapon...

It's sad how some people will immediately abuse the banning system to serve themselves. ~_~

I think this is a lazy excuse to get rid of cheaters. Sega needs to make their own characters, just like normal everyday Hunters, and monitor the ships constantly. That would be fool proof, these guys would be spies. They could secretly witness a dupe!

I agree, Neo. Most games do that, but I guess it hasn't been considered a consern by Sega. SheWren, you're probably right, the hackers and lamers will probably abuse the system just like they abuse PSO itself. *Sigh* Even a mostly good thing contains a little ill, and even a mostly bad thing contains a little good. Double edged indeed. ~_~

I don't think this will be the case as they have access to the logs of the servers, and they can see when someone cheats.
They don't have the time or the people to constantly monitor the servers. This is a good solution.

If companies like Sega, Blizzard or Microsoft want to get rid of cheaters, they need to make it a top priority.
