I must be impatient or something, or perhaps I'm just doing something wrong.<p>On my GC, I have a Lv 68 HUnewearl with a ground up master's vulcan and also a ground up Yamato (one of my favorite weapons). I've never taken this character online, and only recently did I get into Ultimate mode. She seems to be levelling up far too slowly, and gets killed a little too easily (Perfect Frame with four slots, one metal body and three general bodies). The Mag is Maxed out (32/72/48/48). Hours at a time are spent trying to gain a new level in vain. Does anyone have a suggestion for getting some better and faster Exp? Should I start a new mag?

This is the hardest transition in PSO. Usually you are lower tha the suggested level (80) to begin ultimate. And the exp in very hard is too slow. What I suggest doing is spending some time perhaps beating Episode 2 on very hard, or do some quests in Episode 1. Also, from seeing your MAG...I would say that you should start a new MAG. Make it the same stats, except put nothing into MIND and put those points into POW. Reason being is that a Hunewearl needs lots of power to to compete power wise in Ultimate, when starting there. Later you can maybe switch back once your confidence is up.

I already had a decent Rukmin which I gave to Nei, my HUnewearl. Plus, I'd been feeding her Power materials all her life, so she managed the Ultimate start relatively well. But it still is awkward.<p>With your HUnewearl, using mechs is good, but don't bother about the Masters ability. The ATA is far too low in Ultimate. Consider changing your /Body units to /Power units to deal more damage. And if you have a /Battle unit, it works wonders with mechs.<p>Quests are good, and try Ep2, because you'll not have played too much of it. Try completing VHard Ep2. It's fun, and you get about 150 EXP from the enemies.

Battle Units are wonderful :p

The /Power units seem to be rather sparse as well, as I've only found one ogre/power in all my hours playing. This is nothing to say that I haven't found any /Battle units.<p>I suppose Ep2 Vhard mode is my best bet... but I'm still giving just Hard mode a try (why's ep2 gotta be so much harder?)<p>In any event, How much should I put into the power slot for my new mag? I know not to put hardly anything into mind, but should I go easy on dex? My def is poor too, so I wouldn't want to take from that... I mostly wanted the increased mind to learn the higher-level spells I've found.

Leave Def and Dex the way they are. Make your power at least 100. Then you should find things a bit better :p

This is kind of cheap but if you have 2 controllers what you can do is start playing the forest on Very Hard with 2 people. Leave the one you don't want to level up at the portal to Pioneer 2 and go through forest 1 by yourself. There will be twice as many enemies but they will have more HP than usual. Once you complete forest 1 pick up the other controller and move your other person to the portal to Forest 2 and repeat. When you get to the dragon make sure you have a couple moon atomizers for you unmanned character and beat the dragon. This is a way to have a difficulty setting the's not quite Ultimate but still not very hard and it's a nice way to level up in general

I do that in Ruins on Ultimate when I want a challenge.

It's a good strategy to use.<p>The only drawback is that you've only got half a screen.<p>I've not actually tried it yet, but I've considered it a few times.

you should give it a try ... my level 61 HUmar got to level 67 in just a couple hours. And could someone help me on finding the Lavis Cannon ? My Tallow count is rediculously high and I still haven't found it yet (with my level 120 Humar)

Just keep at it. The thing with random drops is that they're random. There's no surefire way to find one without hacking, so keep at it. It'll help you gain levels a bit!<p>If you have PSO+, do Central Dome Fire Swirl (with 40 Tollaws) but if you haven't, then do Soul of a Blacksmith (with 25).<br><p>[size=small][Edit by Forge on [TIME]1125176650[/TIME]][/size]

I was doing a search for Syncesta, so I could morph my Lavis Cannon. I searched with my Force, El Magico, and leveled her in the ultimate caves from level 80-120. I never found Syncesta....and I killed a lot of enemies.<p>It can take a while, but those who persist will be granted the reward.<p>PS: I later found out my Lavis Cannon was a dupe and junked it, therefore the Syncesta search stopped.

Yup...believe it or not, I found every single other Caves item for the Greenill. Including 3 Morning Glorys, one with 35% hit. Also, 2 God Arms.

Nasty. I'd love to come across some of them.<p>Every single other item? Impressive.
