Kex,
You obviously care for the girl if you feel this badly that she's ill. I've had lots of experience dealing with er... unhelpful parents. You need to stop feeling sorry for yourself and start taking action.
1) Find out the hospitals visiting hours. Go there. Ask her room number. If the staff tells you she can't have visitors, go buy a card and some flowers and tell the staff to give them to her. That way she'll know you're there and you're thinking of her.
2) If the hospital is too far away or plan 1 falls through, call the hospital and ask for her room number. Many hospitals have phones in the rooms for patients. Sending your sweetie a calling card if it's long distance would also be a help if they won't give you her number. Then she can call you. Also, ask her friends at school if the hospital won't give her number. Usually one or two friends end up getting a number even if a boyfriend doesn't.
This information is coming to you from someone who knows hospitals well, so you would be wise to put it to good use.
