no. they re-patiented the hardware of the dreamcast.

They did it for a reason.

There is no way to just repatent it when nothing really set it apart from the rest.

Did you read the article? It says that the original filing is still active, and that no action was necessary.

I read a few years ago about a similar topic (might of been on planetdreamcast, but cannot remember exactly where) where there was an arcade machine that was running the dream cast hardware for its games.

Thank you for the links! All I was trying to say is this is the web; don't waste our time by saying "read the article" when you can link it. If it were a question of knowledge, sure, just google it, but if you're making a reference please provide the reference.

Uh I guess that goes for everyone on the internet.

I really hope that there will be a new Sega console sometime in the future.
