On March 4, 2008, it was publicly announced that Gary Gygax, creator of the Dungends and Dragons game series has died at the age of 69 due to heart problems. :cry:

His death was a sad day for all gamers worldwide. Not just for those who play pen and paper games, but video gamers as well. You see, Dungends and Dragons was the basics for fantasy gaming today. If not for D&D, games like Elder Scrolls, Diablo, and indeed Final Fantasy and Phantasy Star would probably not be here today.

Gary, you will be missed.

Looks like he missed his saving through against the DEATH RAY attack from the Grim Reaper..

Either that or his AC class was too low to avoid the scythe hit XD

AC of 10 back in the basic and 2nd edition rules eh? I mean.. he had no armor on!

the world of gaming is greater for having known gary gygax, and much sadder now for his loss...

i have been a dungeons and dragons player now for almost 20 years and it truly amazes me just what all has been influenced by his creations
