I'm just curious, what does everyone here do for a living? I work at a transformer plant owned by Howard Industries, Inc. here in the U.S. I build the coils that go into the transformers with a process called coilwinding. It's an O.K. job, but I would really like a career change. O_o That's what I get for dropping out of school. No time for school with a family and all. =P (And right now, no money.)

I'm a student, taking IT in college. Programming, software engineering, databases, stuff like that. It taught me C in the first year, which I'm very grateful for. But the second year there's too much database drivel everywhere, and the programming languages are Visual Basic and Java, which I don't like much.

I'm an unemployed foreigner trying to weasel into a cushy government job because I'd rather off myself than take the fish market position.

I'm in the motel business about to switch over to CSR for a while. Come back when business picks back up and go for manager.

I'm 23, I still have time to do what I want.

Besides, I'm going to school for insurance. I'll be financially secure before I hit 40

I am a student, studying Jazz at McGill University in Montreal. Or, at least I will be in a couple days... I haven't moved there yet. Real excited with getting in, because it's one of the top places for jazz study in North America. I play the saxophone.

I'm just about finished with my studies. Shortly (in a couple of months probably, allowing for red tape) I'll be an engineering physicist, specialised in complex adaptive systems. (In practice this means basically that I'm a programmer [c mostly] with an unusually thorough mathematical background...) I've also studied palaeontology and Japanese on the side.

Job offers appreciated! ^^

I'm at University, currently preparing for resit exams. I'm studying Veterinary Medicine, in Scotland and if all goes well in a couple of weeks, I'll be going into my fifth and final year. Then I'll be almost a vet, which is rather scary. I'm kept way too busy, which is why you've not seen me for a while and why you probably won't remember who I am.

Unemployed self-taught engineer of sorts, hopefully gonna get into drywall where the job security is good along with the pay. Might go to college this year or next year for machining stuff if I don't get a local apprenticeship.

Final year in computer electronic engineering. Most all my classes are hardware or networking classes for computers.
