I like it because there's nothing "extra" and it's free (to use). Also it has many nice clients. :)
Other "social" community/networking sites have too much ding, dong, and dang = features that I would never use.

I made an account about 3 months ago and never returned to post updates. I just don't see what all the noise is about, I mean why would I want to know that this or that person is eating and then cleaning and then goes take a walk.
I might start using it someday when the game will be complete to promote it but that's about it for me.

I made an account a couple weeks back to participate in the Sega Europe Friday Give-away. It's this way that I quickly knew about the Phantasy Star Portable 2 localisation news.

I haven't used it since because it's rather painful to use on my older computer with all of its JavaScript, but I can see it being useful to talk to a gaming company's PR and as a sort of RSS feed.

I don't like twitter.

I dunno if it's because of the attention whores in it, but things like

(INITIATING EXAMPLE)

"I'm going to take a dump"

"I fought with my girlfriend. damn bitch sure got told"

"I feel lonely. Phone me, Nadine!"

"Nadine hasn't phoned me. That whore!"

"Didn't sleep all night. Nadine didn't phone me. I feel like dying."

"I'll go to Nadine's to see what's going on."

"Talked with Nadine. Her sister is such a bitch but we made up. Awesome."

disclaimer: The name Nadine was the first that came to my mind. I do not know any person by that name, so suing me for nailing you if you happen to be named Nadine is dumb. =P
