A few hours ago, a bunch of friends and I were driving back home from a civil union (like a wedding, but without the religion factor). Then a drunken driver came out of nowhere and hit us. I was driving, so I hit my forehead against the wheel, even while I was wearing a seatbelt. I blacked out for some time, and awoke at the hospital as I was being admitted at the emergency room. A friend of mine ended with glass shards in his arm and the ones on the back seat an ugly scare. I don't remember what the hell happened. I was just told by a medic to undergo some tests and monitoring, and they then dismissed me as having only a hit to the head and a bump on my skull. By now, I'm perfectly fine, although my nerves are a damn wreck. My friend wasn't so lucky, as he got out with stitches and a bunch of bandages. I hear, but nobody's confirmed it, that the drunk who hit us is dead, though... O_o

So far, I've been ordered to whatever happens, to NOT fall asleep and keep my mind active with ANYTHING...

I hate this.

I'm glad that you and your friends got out of it with no major injuries. Drunk drivers suck.

I just ran into an old high school friend that I hadn't seen in a while. He was high on mary-jane and drove off with a group of people.

Its just so disappointing to see.

That's just sad... Damnit I mean, drinking and driving? Hasn't there been enough death by those idiots? Thank God you're ok Wing-0 although you're probably going to be soar tomorrow...

On the interesting side, it turns out the oe who crashed on us, was a woman high in alcohol and a tasty cocktail of amphetamines and marihuana.

She has a broken skull, jaw and nose. The police is pressing charges and so do all of us. She's also a mother of two.

Glad you are ok and your friends are still alive.
