Well, an urge to research the cultural aspects of one of my ethnic lines hit me today and I started to look for music related to my Jewish ancestry.

Here are some good songs, mostly by a singer named Francoise Atlan. What freaked me out is that in the comments of the last one, someone said that that particular song was sung by Auschwitz prisoners... And we all know how cozy that place was. O_o

That's some amazing vocal control. Very nice! I also noticed in at least one song the violinist was holding the violin like a bowed dulcimer. I always like seeing little cultural differences like that.
