From Myau´s list, I played them all, but only owned Phantasy Star.<p>You gotta love or hate Fantasy Zone II, as it was the f***ing hardest shooter I have ever played.

I have about 30-40 SMS games.<p>I do have fond memories of Castle Of Illusion.<p>And as for my #7 pick, I choose Quartet.

For whomever knows this, why did they do away with the MS and 'replace' it with the Genesis, when you could still play all 16 bit sega games on the Genesis system anyway? It seemed a bit odd to me, because really...the MS seemed essentially the same as the Genesis, only a more compact version. Can someone enlighten me?

Malakai, you're confusing the Master System and the Mega Drive.<p>The Master System was Sega's 8-bit console that rivalled the NES.<p>Years later, the Mega Drive came out (known as Genesis in the US), and offered 16-bit gaming. The more compact version you are thinking of is the Mega Drive II.<p>Why replace it? Cheaper to make, more compact, cooler in some respects... Why not? These are just guesses, though.
