Welcome. Hope you enjoy being here. <br>Might I just ask who Dr. Kevorkian is and what about him would cause you to be told you should avoid speaking of him? Not that you should avoid speaking about it just because one person/religion dislikes it, a bit of controversy's always a good thing.

He killed people and was a doctor :p<p>( that about sums it up)

he's a famous doctor who campaigned for assisted suicide to become legal in the USA. he went to prison a while back... he won't live to come out. <br>lots of people don't like his methods- he tends to use people's deaths as a showcase for his campaign and some people debate whether all his patients fully consented. the last patient he treated, he actually pressed the button on the machine and not the patient.<br>good idea, though, and he did have the guts to get it all organised and go out there and do it even though he was risking so much. direct action sometims works better than just debating about it for years on end, s people tend to do with that topic.<p>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevorkian <p>i don't think he's infallible or anything- if i had his job i'd do it better.<br>

Controversy is fine and dandy, and even adds some spice and fun.<p>Like I've said before, I respect people's opinions. This is why *I* don't even want to get into it.<p>Funny, I'm actually a native of Portland, OR, where Mr. Kevorkian is, ahem, from, and I believe Dr. assisted suicide is legal in Oregon as a result.
