Well I suppose this is where I summarise my love for the Phantasy Star series while at the same time telling you all a little something about myself.
I've been a SEGA fan since I played my first videogame, (Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Drive) when I was about 3 or so. I couldn't for the life of me, accomplish anything within the game, but it was great fun regardless, that much I remember! As time went on, I eventually grew more skilled and conquered all the old Sonic games and then, one day, while looking through an old pile of my Dad's games, I stumbled upon Phantasy Star I. It just so happened that a seeminly useless Master System Converter was sitting next to it, so after looking over them a bit, I figured out what to do and began playing the first Phantasy Star. I was instantly hooked. I loved the dungeon style and enjoyed making my own maps with graphing paper, feeling that it added much more depht to the standard Dungeon Crawlers that I was used to at the time.
After conquering the original, I pretty much forgot about the series until just recently; I've now decided to play through all the Phantasy Stars, (PSO doesn't really count, although I have beaten it) and to do so, I've downloaded all the ROM's from this site, and felt the least I could do was join and contribute to the community that helped produce them in any way that I could. Saying that, this looks to be a tight-knit and friendly forum that I hope will welcome me with open arms, (all I ask is that no one spoil the stories for II, III, and IV for me!)
Thank you for reading, and God bless videogame emulation!
