Hello everyone, I am kevin1gamer, last night I decided to join several Phantasy Star Universe / Phantasy Star Online message boards, for I am planning to buy the game. I first played the demo of Phantasy Star Universe on Xbox 360, and I wanted the game ever since. You may notice that I posted a similar message on another Phantasy Star Universe / Phantasy Star Online forum, but that is because I did indeed do so.

I also plan on buying Phantasy Star I & II Online for the Nintendo GameCube, Phantasy Star Online I & II for the Microsoft Xbox, and Phantasy Star Online III for the Nintendo GameCube.

Alright, here is a little bit about me. My name is Kevin, I'm a 17 year old male that is currently attending high school. I run a website known as the SS Free (link: http://www.ssfree.cz.tc/ - please don't mind the plainness, I'm still working on the website itself, but the forums, wiki, and chat rooms are fully functional). I wish to attend and graduate college with degrees in either video game design or aerospace and space exploration. I am going to Cologne, Germany for a semester (perhaps longer) in my senior year of high school, as a foreign exchange student.

Hey there!

Welcome to the board. I like several of the series and stuff you listed.

Just one little recommendation: Don't bother with the Phantasy Star Online Eps. I & II for the Xbox. As far as I remember, you need an active gamertag and a working XBox Live account for it, which, do not work anymore.

Still, it's been a loooooong time since I last played that version (or had an original Xbox)... Although I don't remember if the Live servers for PSO are still around or not.

Anyway, the cube version offers exactly the same, so if you are to play with it, I can say you'll have quite some fun with it.

If you have a PSP, I'd recommend you to grab Phantasy Star Portable, which is more or less a port of PSU: Ambition of Illuminus on the PS2, but with a story set between the first PSU and PSU: Ambition of Illuminus. Also, I hear Phantasy Star Portable 2 will be released outside of Japan, so buying that one as well could be good for you if you like the PSU games.

Once again, welcome to this small community. The people in here is nice, and the moderator and webmaster aren't any different. You can expect some intelligent discussions from time to time. =)

If you manage to get on the private servers, no. But if you want Sega servers, they're long gone.

Same for the Dreamcast, PC, and the US BB servers (I know this for the US release, but I am not sure about the others.)
