I agree Siren. MMORPG have become so much...the same. If you've played one, you've played them all. Benoit, I thought you said you like the PS games for their innovation? And then you say you'd like an MMORPG Phantasy Star...that is defenitely not innovation. That's like nearly every game on the internet. So Sonic Team brings PSO online, as an RPG but not an MMORPG, and breaks the mold of the tedious Everquest type games to create a truly fun game. An MMORPG would destroy that. Tell me, Benoit, would you like to spend 3 hours leveling up you mining skill on a Phantasy Star game? Let's hope not.

Oh...but I wouln't want that type of game...PSO is best, pure and simple. However, there is a game that simulates real life with fantasy elements, however, it isn't released yet and is for the X-Box. It is called True Fantasy Live Online...you can be pretty much anything (even a blacksmith). I admit, it looks kind of cool, simply because it's not like every other MMORPG out there.I don't know why you'd want a game that simulated real life with slight bits of fantasy in it...that defeats the purpose of a video game.

Not really, because it would still mean you having fun doing things you couldn't in real life. It would also enable you to have your online buddies 'living nextdoor', and such. It's still a virtual experience, the creation of your own community.

Even though I don't see what people like about it, The Sims is exactly what you're looking for. It's like real life, except you can do some stuff in it like build a house. <p>Like I said, for me it's pointless have a game like that when you could go outside and experience almost all of it's content for yourself.

heh@The sims, I dont own a pc nor would I wanna buy that game when I do get a pc.<p>hmm True Fantasy Online eh? I think I've heard of that before. I plan to buy a XBOX so maybe I'll have to get that.<p>Still tho I want a MMORPG PS, mainly for the Phantasy Star story, that and they could do something new that no other MMORPG has done.<p>I had totaly forgot that PS3 wasnt made by the creator of the series. As for the accusation that MMORPG's have no storyline at all, well than can be shot down in a few words: The free ones don't. All MMORPG's you people've probably ever played besides PSO were free, perhaps the likes of runescape and such. But the good games that you have to pay for, such as Everquest, or Final Fantasy XI actually have lots of story.<p> And what you said about the worst cheating? Most MMORPG's are too frequently updated to prevent that stuff. If that's what you want, than True Fantasy Live Online is the game for you. It looked kinda interesting, and had all the elements you described. I also heard that it has a heavy influence on story too.
