New PSO Quests!

Postby Scejntjynahl » Tue Aug 31, 2004 3:41 pm

As of yesterday August 30th ST had decided to grace us with two new quests in the Extermination section. Both in episode 2.
Phantasmal World 1
Phantasmal Word 2
Both of these quests are similar to the endless nightmare versions of episode one. I have played only Phantasmal World 1 which includes the Seaside and the Jungle. Preety straight forward type of quest, you need to eliminate ALL monsters in order to hit the switch to deactivate the security devices (similar to CCA). The jungle quest is straight forward, and the last room has that same angle camera effect as the the endless nightmare quests of episode 1. But the Seaside's last room has a very severe camera angle, similar to an overhead view shot, and when you move the camera moves into preset postions (in other words the camera doesnt follow you, so your stuck seen yourself from a very far distance.) The most annoying thing of these quest is the huge amount of Gee to kill, but if your familiar to Episode 2 you know to expect them. At the end of the quest make sure to talk to Nol, she will reward you with a "lucky coin".
Now that you have the "lucky coin" at your disposal, you must enter Gallon's shop. And head to the Gallons room in the left an be teleported to Gallon (You know where, the place where you buy music CDs) Once there he will tell you of a new game called "Roulette" but you can only play it with "lucky coin" of course you should have one at this time. You then proceed to a terminal at the bottom left side, and access the Roulette game. Once in this game you will see a circle with people standing on the rim of the circle. Each person represents an item you could win. Then a ligh ball will circle above all the people there, and stop on a single one. And depending where the light ends, it will determine the price you can get.
Have fun.

Some people on PSOW seemed to start with some coins without playing the quest to get a coin. Someone ended up with 20 coins doing these Phantasmal quests, while I heard someone else had over 64 somehow :?

I forgot, you can get a new shield when you land on Paganini in the Gallon Roulette game. I doubt it's strong :p Something in the lines of the WORKS Guard.

It's purplish and see-trough. It's not very strong, obviously. Since it's easy to obtain. :) Not 'rare' lol.

I'm guessing its not downloadable though?

No, unfortunately its not. Also the amount of coins one can acquire depend on some unknown variable. But the quest will be sure to give you at least one coin.
