Metal Gear Solid 3 & Resident Evil 4

Has anybody here played MGS3 & RE4, and thought highly of those two games?<p>I've personally like MGS3 because of the new features Konami have included in this game: the camouflage system, hunting animals to survive instead of collecting rations, boss difficulty and the storyline itself. <p>I've only started RE4, but at first glance, I am very impressed with the new aiming system, and it looks a lot more grotesque than all of the Resident Evils put together.<p>- Iceman<p><p>[size=small][Edit by iceman on [TIME]1111163851[/TIME]][/size]

GUH! MGS3 was one of the biggest let-downs of the year. The story was cheezy at best. (A Moth keeps him alive?!?! And why is there a stealth suit FIFTY years before it was supposedly invented?) They tried WAY too hard to make things supernatural, and that is the one thing a good stealth game does not need. As for the gameplay, yeah, it is fun with what you can do, but is too linear. They give you all of these cool things to do, and you just go from A to B to C. Konami took over 2 years to make that game and I don't see the effort. <br> If you want a truly versitile stealth game, look for SplinterCell 3. I hated the first one, tolerated the second, but even I have to admit, 3 smokes anything MetalGear's got. <p> (yuck! if someone had told me have a year ago, I'd be putting down Metal Gear for a Tom Clancy title, I'd have smacked them silly....who'da thunkkit?)<br>

Eh, MGS3 wasn't too great, and I'm glad I didn't end up buying it. Andrew said it all with the moth comment. RE4 was a little better so far, but I'm not motivated enough yet to play all the way through it. Too much razzle-dazzle for me.<p>Btw Andrew, where did you get that AV? That's an awesome pic of Neifirst.

MGS 3 has nice gameplay thats about it..the story is bootlegged......and whats her nuts is the ugliest 3d-rendered female i've ever seen in my life....<p>RE 4 on the other hand, is amazing.....I got to disk 2 in one sitting......was at a Wintereenmas party, and everyone else who was playing was taking the "OMFG THE HORROR" approach, and being pansies, while I was taking the more, ...Rambo-esque approach of, if its moving, shoot it, if its coming at me, shoot it til it stops.............I was poppin' off sniper rifle head shots at point blank, moving head shots w/ the rifle......crazy maneuvers that shouldve killed me (reloading as someones attacking my head., storming at the guy w/ the dynamite.......).........I died one time....and that time was when someone said "Hey stand at the edge of that dock and shoot the water its a cool effect", so I shoot the water, and that friggin fish thing eats me......oh well it WAS a cool effect lol......<p>Dont take RE 4 like a pansy...just storm around like Rambo while hes stuck in Jerkwater U.S.A......it is fun. oh oh oh oh ohhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Shoot the merchant guy when youre done buying stuff too....just because its beyond funny.

I've already completed RE4, and I thought that the entire game was fun and challenging.<p>The game was longer than the other Resident Evils, love the fact that all of the crazy villagers come after you with weapons like pitchforks and chainsaws, satisfied with the storyline, and the secrets are more better as well (I won't go to any more details on this as I might spoil the fun of it).<p>Overall, I give Resident Evil 4 10 out of 10. <p>I'm going to play the game again for a second time now.

Its the first one to have realistic dismemberment. Holy god how many times i let my head get cut off just to watch it. Heheh. Or that one part where you have to run across those wooden bridge things around the cliffs,........all those headshots with the rifle+scope.......................I was laughing the WHOLE time! !:)

I thought MSG3 was really good, cept for the Sorrow talk about a waste of a boss<p>Check out this movie....its about rejected villans from MGS3 http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/236100<p>As for RE4 it was awesome and i hope RE5 keeps progression and doesnt go back to the old ways
