Let me put it this way: ALL four Alien films and BOTH Predator films were rated R... with good reason. How are you going to make a crossover film that's taken from 6 R rated films and make it PG-13?!?! <p>So now we can expect half-assed, child-friendly cursing (ie: "You ugly son of a..." as opposed to Arnold saying "You're one ugly motherf--ker."). You may ask why that's a big deal... because it's freaking lame! It's Ed Furlong in T2 lame!!!<p>Also, where with an R rating you get visible violence, a PG-13 movie has more "implied violence". Why a big deal? The Alien and Predator movies are violent by nature and now you have to tame it down for the kids? Give me a break. Fox suck ass!<p>You didn't see New Line go soft and make Freddy vs. Jason a PG-13... and if they had, everyone would have laughed and said "What the fu-k?!". (Not saying FvJ was a great movie or anything, but it's a perfect example). Anyone who loves the Alien and Predator movies as much as I do has to feel somewhat disappointed in a PG-13 rating. The only R rated films I ever watch have to be either:<p>A) documentary, educational, or drama<br>B) Scifi action drama (like the Matrix)<br>C) Anime.

Just got back from Alien vs. Predator. I suppose I'll give it 3 1/2 stars out of 5. The story was good (I felt) and was well delivered. The aliens looked and moved great. I was nice to finally see their kind done some justice in CGI. The predators weren't menacing enough, nor were they as large as they should have been, but they performed their part well enough. The cast was mediocre and expendable (thankfully). All in all it was an entertaining film despite some cheese. Personally, I have come to expect a certain level of cheese in any film by Paul Anderson and have found that if you can look past those moments you'll usually end up really enjoying the picture.<p>Anyone else see it?

I just saw AVP, It didn't meet much of my expectations. <b>spoiler!</b> 2/3 of the preds died too early <br>and it was too short
