Will we EVER see Ps4 remade?

That's the compilation of the original games. Notice how it doesn't say remake at all.

Is that even coming out? I'm working at Gamestop and I haven't even seen or heard anything at all about it.

I wish they would remake PSIV, but that's like wishing for a thunderstorm in the desert. It COULD happen, but it's not likely.

I suppose it's better this way. I'd rather have the traditional game nice and intact than a remake that doesn't live up to the expectations of the original game. If they rushed remaking PSIV we'd just end up with a crappy game, and I for one don't want to see it happen.

Maybe I'm just cynical, I dunno.

To be honest, I've held off playing IV more than the once I did over a decade ago, because I'd want to play the remake form.

It doesn't seem to be coming, though :(

IV would also open up the gates for a group like Conspiracy to batch-translate all three, which would be double-good both because they'd finally see English release but because they'd be consistent between each other as well.

It's about as likely at this point as me becoming the next Lutz. XP

Honestly, PSIV doesn't need a remake. Besides, if they did in the same style as PSG1 and PSG2, all they'd really be doing is re-drawing the cutscenes, making the sprites/backgrounds more dimensional and remixing the music. >_>;;;

I'd rather, were Sega to devote resources to doing something with PS, that they made a proper PSV and not this PS*vowel* crap. PSU is good mindless fun, but the characters and storyline are largely garbage.

Or, if they were bound and determined to remake it, bring in some of the discarded things(3D dungeons, which could be done well today), do either FMV CGI or anime cutscenes with voice-acting(OK, maybe not, because then they would dub it, and we all know how PSU's voice acting is. >_>), and *really* update the thing.

PSG1+2 added a bunch of additional dialog, sidequests et cetera, no? I agree that IV can't benefit the way the originally palette-shift-heavy I and II could (see in particular: Amy/Shir and Hugh/Kain) but that doesn't mean there's no room for improvement both graphically and otherwise.

Was IV not a good closure?

Well, SEGA AGES remakes aren't meant to be full-modern-game type things, hence the cheap starting prices. They're just quick works to take advantage of the hardware ~20 years on.

I wonder if these reasons have anything to do with PSG3 (PSIV) never happening, though :/

Agreed, the best thing about the remakes (PSG2 especially) was the fleshed out storyline.

I would like to see a PSIV remake, just for the sake of seeing just what would happen. The only improvement I can see being made is finally expand the equipment names. Sure, we all know what they are, but its just one of those silly pet peeves about the game that aggravate me when I think about it. The only other improvements I'd say is an aesthetics change. Cutscenes are quite fine to me, but perhaps world map stuff or sprites could be made at a high resolution.

If the game had any problems that I didn't like, I wouldn't still play it 8)

I just thought something else they could do.
Y'know those parts in Final Fantasy 6 where you have different "Solo-missions" you can do, when several different characters go their own way and the action splits up into two or three sub-stories which pretty much take place simultaneously, except you play them one at a time, (like Locke's infiltration in South Figaro, and Sabin's romp through the Empire soldier's camp where he meets Gau and Cyan)?
That sort of stuff, but with scenarios like where Rune heads off to after he leaves the party (and heads off looking for the Psycho Wand), what Gryz, Hahn, Demi and such were up to before rejoining the team before entering The Edge... (OK, maybe not Demi, that'd be a little boring, considering what she was actually busy doing all that time...) that sort of stuff.
Strong or weak, all that matters to me is whether or not you're flammable.
