That's so incredibly true! Don't see how the Japanese managed without the map-booklet included...

Good grief I've been reminded over the past few days why I hated PSI so much when I was younger...maybe I'll skip forward to PSII.

i found ps1 much easier than ps2. i think it was because the monsters werent that tough. in ps2 you were mostly lost and all dead. in ps1 at least you were just lost.

Just played Kinds', Shilka's and Nei's and Amia's Adventures this weekend. Short but fun. Kinds' was probably the best, with Nei's a close second. Had Nei's not been a bit buggy (it's a remake, not a translation) I would probably have named it the winner. I never finished Amia's because it too is a remake, and it decided to hang up on me, but I've finished both Nei's and Amia's Adventures before.
The other two were new though. I must say that Shilka's Adventure was something of a disappointment. She's always been one of my favourite characters, but her expertise as a master-thief didn't get to show in the adventure. Most things seemed to happen by pure chance, not because of detailed planning, stealth and slight of hand.
Kinds' Adventure was cool, with a neat narrative and nice story. Only thing bugging me there was several references to Earthly phenomena, such as a Chinese restaurant...
Nei's Adventure was touching and cute. Essentially a good story on the theme of alienation. I didn't like their description of Paseo though.
Amia's Adventure is also neat, but maybe I'll save writing about that once I've finished it again. If you're curious but don't have the urge to play it, you can always read Darrell Whitney's "short storysation" of it here:

Next up (after Amia): Replaying Phantasy Star Adventure for GameGear. I've only played a Japanese version with a printed translation to guide me...

Nei's and Amia's Adventures were available att Naflign's Ego (come back Naflign, we miss you!), which is no-longer online. I've talked to Missagh about it, and he will probably put them online. Please note that Nei's is quite buggy, and, to lesser extent, so is Amia's.

Regarding Shilka's...

I own the carts of PS2, PS3, and PS4. Though my PS3 one is kinda lost. Which sucks. Cuz I kinda need to beat the game XD.

I'm doing something I read somewhere a while back-trying to beat PS4 without using an item of any kind (except the ones I have to, like the Psycho-Wand). It's a lot harder than it sounds.

Hmm... don't have much time for gaming at the moment myself, but I'm working my way through PS1 since I'm nearly finished it on the save on this computer. But I tend to play PS4 and PS2 over and over.
