How about making sure the word you use starts with a letter that is different from the one at the end?

As long as the word you use starts with the letter that the previous word ended with, it doesn't really matter. Besides, it's a strategy used by a lot of people, to use words in games like this that end and start with the same letter. It makes the game harder.
