I have only taken a look at what you showed me about the Profound Darkness. So far, so good.

I honestly steer the frak away from Wikipedia in matters of the classic series. I remember checking the PSII article once a long time ago, and it had a lot of SHIT about it being a story about destruction because the people had forgotten about god and having embraced Mother Brain.

I was like "WHAT IS THIS SHIT!?".

To this day, I still believe Mike Ripplinger wrote that article, being the ubercatholic he was back then (and surely still is).

There is one thing about writing articles in an online encyclopedia. They are supposed to be verifiable and straight to what the material says, not someone's interpretation.

Hell, I have read people saying Rolf "did the deed" with Nei based on their interpretation of the game... Bah... Allow me to laugh...

In any case, I'll check it later and see if I can add something. If you want to add information regarding the compilations, for example the Complete Collection, ask me.

What? Seriously? I haven't checked it lately, either, but I don't remember that. Someone with some common sense must have edited it. My biggest problem with the PSII wiki page was all the broken source links. I suppose I could have been helpful and tracked down some non-broken links, but... I didn't. Because I'm lazy.

And it's sad that someone's turning PSII into an issue regarding religion. Missing the point of the game entirely. The Great Light isn't a benevolent god in this series. Like the Great Light really helped out anyone in any of the Phantasy Star games? Yeah, right.

I've edited the PSIV wiki page several times because some screwball fan keeps trying to put shit in the "reception" section that's completely unverified. Stuff like, "It's the fan favorite!" Sources, people, SOURCES. And while I realize PSIV probably would win any number of polls (including the one on this site), it just looks so downmarket to include it in an encyclopedic entry. Are we five years old?

Yeah, fan interpretation pretty much killed the Wikipedia for me. The thing with PSII is not recent. Long time ago. The current version is more grounded.
