I finally finished Inuyasha The Final Act, after a long, long, long period of procrastination. I honestly feel they could have thrown in a few more episodes for the sake of pacing, but it was obvious they were given a specific budget and told to make it happen within that budget, come hell or high water. Even with those constraints, however, I will happily acknowledge the power of Rumiko Takashi's (and the writers selected to expand on it) storytelling prowess. It took her 500+ chapters, but I'd say it was worth it, as I found it a great and engaging story. The music, as always, was superb and the opening/ending songs were unusually fitting. A number of climactic scenes were exceedingly well done, making them the sort of moments you rewatch just because they touched you successfully. I think the best part, for me, was through it all, through all the tribulations on display, the ones who made it to the end of the series were able to find happiness that would last their lives, no matter whatever else happened.
