First off, I want to thank Kyence and everyone who worked on Phantasy Star Generation 1 English Translation, its great to have such an old game remade for the modern masses. Just too bad that theres probably only so many copies of the PSG1 Japanese PS2 disc.

Anyways, great to see that Phantasy Star Generation 2 is almost done. Once again I'd like to give my thanks to Kyence and the rest of the team for all the hard work and time you guys have put into this project. I know its not easy working with the constraints translating Japanese games to english, especially when it comes systems like the PS2 (known for being finicky to code and develop for)

If I could make a suggestion : Eventual Public Beta? This way once the glaring errors and other problems get worked out during your private beta testing, it'd probably help to take a load off you guys and speed up the testing and patching process if a Public Beta where to be released. This way too any other little niglies that people spot can be pointed out and fixed before finishing up the Project and going Gold.



Once again, thanks again for the third time for all your guys time and effort, doing something that many off us have no idea how to even begin, let alone translate and hack/modify game ISO's.

You all are amazing and the fan base is incredibly lucky to have you and this is something I have been awaiting years for and never thought I would see.

As someone who has been a fan of the series from the start and appalled by the lack of attention it has received by Sega, I also wanted to express my appreciation for the efforts here to translate this game. It's like a dream come true, and almost allowing closure on what looks to be the last mainline release the series may ever have. I'll be further inspired to continue doing my part in my own way to carry on the Phantasy Star torch, and when the time comes I'll do what I can to see those involved here are rewarded. You have my eternal thanks and gratitude, and am look forward to seeing further news!

So with all the hacking to translate the game, has anyone finally figured out what specific dialogs you need to trigger in order to save Nei, rather than just "talk to everyone" and "see all the dialog"?

I personally haven't tried yet but I might try it when I'll have the time.

My plan would be to talk to no one (except peoples who trigger an event to progress in the game), then progressively talk to a few people to check when it's unlocked.

This also makes me curious if there's a "Safeguard" in the code should the player actually beat the Army Eyes, and not another bad game-breaking sequence.

Okay, but I'm hoping there's something in place. Otherwise that's one major oversight on the developers, leaving the same game-breaking bug as in the original.
