If you defeat Army Eyes in the original, you keep staying on Motavia and you can't proceed the story.

Not really a bug since it's impossible to beat them without hacking.

Hi, everyone! I noticed the Army Eyes comment here - I concur with Tryphon, there's no special dialogue that addresses what happens if you beat them through a game hack.

There's one untranslated file I'm still waiting to get back from someone. Most of the event files have been proofread at this point - I think there's four that need checking, which includes the untranslated one. We're all chugging along in our spare time, and everyone that's volunteered their time on this project have been great to work with. I kinda wished I worked with them at my day job

Yes, the beta is coming. I'm really hoping that by the end of September the beta players will be able to test the game.

Hi Kyence. Thanks for your comment; but I didn't mean just dialogue, simply anything already in the code that prevents the (in)famous dead-end in the original.

While we're on the subject of hacking, I'm also curious about Rudo/Rudger/Odin2.0's TP Variable addresses. Since both variables are supposed to remain at zer0, it makes me think there are other processes attached to those variables, which could cause "fun" if he was given TP.

You can try to hack a savestate if you want.

But hacking the game itself is not very fun. PCSX2 is not a very hacking-friendly emulator, and it was quite painful to implement the various hacks I made for the translation. Had it been another game, I wouldn't have done that.

Megadrive hacking is a piece of cake in comparison

I'm actually translating the last file, did 2/3 of it. I'll post a new message when it'll be over.

The last news I got was Kyence planning to have a beta version for the end of September, but I don't know if she meant public or private beta.

Was hoping it would happen prior to leaving for my honeymoon on the 20th. Wanted to help out as much as I could with it and getting it to work on modded ps3s

Quick update! The translation looks like it could be ready to start some private beta testing as soon as the end of next week. After that, a public beta version will be posted. This time around, the game should play better in a PS2 console; I know some people had trouble playing the G1 translation on a modded PS2 while others managed it. This will feature the Japanese names (i.e., Eusis). I'll have some more updated info next week. Until then, everyone!

Had to make an account to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart!

Coincidentally, I'm getting a new PS2 that I'm going to try and attach an HDD to. Playing an English version of Gen 2 on it would be awesome! I loved your work in Gen 1 as well, so I can't wait to see what's in store for us this time around! Hope you and your team are doing well, Kyence!
