Question: Are the names editable in-game as in the original Phantasy Star II? It's been a while since I've loaded up PSG2 :)

I made an account finally because for the last 6 months I've been following updates awaiting the games release :D. The last 10 days have killed me waiting for it to be ready. Any possible update as to when it might be ready to download?

Very very soon. The beta version is currently in my hands and I'm working on the game sections as we speak. We'll post an update as soon as we are ready.

Tryphon, Blaw-, or anyone else involved, do you by any chance have a file containing the Japanese game credits? Just like the one we offer for the PSG1 English translation download page:
http://pscave.com/psg1/download/psg1japanesecredits.txt

EDIT: Also, any possibility of getting an English version of the title screen? Just like we have on the French translation page: http://pscave.com/psg2/downloadf/psg2frenchlogo.jpg

EDIT 2: Just remember that Blaw- already posted the title screen (thanks!). It would still be great to have the game credits available.

From what I managed to get from the credits, it seems it was the cover designer of the generation games and main artist from PSO onwards, Akikazu Mizuno, who had taken the handle of character designs for PSg:2. Too bad Seiji Kishimoto didn't remain as the artist for both games...

http://segaretro.org/Akikazu_Mizuno

This link says the character design of both game are from the same person.

And the PSGEN1 japanese credits confirm it, the name is the same for both games (except if there is an error in the PSGEN1 credits, dunno if it's directly a dump from the game or a transcription).

PSGEN1 :

水野 暁一(Sonicteam)

PSGEN2 :

キャラクターデザイン
岸本 誠司

Seiji Kishimoto is listed in PSg:1 as simply "Character Design", whereas such a title is no longer present on PSg:2, only the "Package & Main Character Design", which is Akikazu's.

Anime News Network credits him for "Character Design/Animation Director" in PSg:1: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=5626
