PSG2 - Secrets (Spoilers, obviously!)

Discuss anything related to the Phantasy Star series

I think it's a must since it seems to be so useful and confirmed to work.
But... Why in the PSg1 download page? Shouldn't it be in PSg2's page?

He corrected his post in an edit.

Edit 1 - Made a small update to the corrected guide. chi contacted me and told me you can consult after talking to Gabrielle in Piata, and that O'Connor makes a comment about every new place you can visit. I also added some directions to return to places when you are done with them.

Edit 2 - Another small edit, removing unnecessary steps.

Edit 3 - Should be done for now.

Just for clarification, where is the updated guide?

Same MediaFire link as before; MediaFire lets you update files whilst keeping the same link. http://www.mediafire.com/view/yea1zdadn ... i89333.txt

chi has confirmed several times that this is the definitive way to revive Nei. I love how the community came together for this. :)

Using the consult menu, it might be easier to find how to revive her with the translation patch, as you can actually read the dialogs and so be able to write down what message should appear at each point of the game.

But first, to do that, someone have to manage to resurrect her once, doing savestates. Then, once she's resurrected, you load a recent savestate, omit just one dialog and check if the resurrection still work. This way, you'll know if you have to see all dialogs. If it still work, you omiting a few others and retry. If it don't, you'll already have your answer.

Chi actually sent me some messages about that; that's how I was updating the guide, I was getting PMs from him about findings. He said he's played the game at least four times, trying to take less lines of dialogue off, but it looks more like this is the amount of text needed to save our little numan buddy.

Edit - Noticed that the MediaFire link can crap itself sometimes, so I made a Ze Bucket link too.

Sorry to bump this, but I noticed that Ikuto Cemetery's layout differs ever-so-slightly from the original's, meaning you have to take a different route to find the Nei Shot and Nei Slicer. I wrote up some easy directions to get in and out of that hell quickly.

Nei Shot:
- 1F: Take the leftmost pit.
- B1F: Take the pit directly south.
- B2F: Take the middle pit.
- B3F: Take the pit directly north.
- B4F: Take the pit directly north.
- B5F: The chest containing the Nei Shot is on the leftmost side of this area.
- Cast Hinaus and leave. Reenter Ikuto.

Nei Slicer:
- 1F: Take the leftmost pit.
- B1F: Go north to find two pits; take the one on the left, which you are closest to.
- B2F: Turn west past two dragon statues until you reach another pit; take it.
- B3F: Go west, then south. Do NOT take the first pit you see! Pass it, then go east. You will turn north and see another pit on your right; take this one.
- B4F: Take the pit directly north.
- B5F: This is the floor that the Nei Slicer is on. Be careful to avoid pits! Go east until you can turn south. When you start to approach a wall, you'll need to move right a little bit until you can resume your southward direction. Keep going south until you reach a small room, which is where the Nei Slicer will be.
- Cast Hinaus and leave, then cast Ruckkher to get back to town.

Do Consult conversations get rarely updated after getting to Dezoris? Been doing Skure and visiting Dezoris' towns but only know my objective by following walkthrough as Consult is just Eusis saying "I wonder how we can get to Dezoris." even though I've been there forever.

Yeah, after Dezoris, the Consult "conversations" (More like Eusis just talking to himself...) update less and less. He has a few more I think.

- After getting to the Esper Mansion
- After talking to one of the espers
- After meeting Lutz
- I think one more after that?
- After getting all of the Nei equipment
- After returning to Lutz and getting the Nei Sword
- After getting to Noah the first time
- After fighting Dark Falz
- After meeting Mother Brain but declining to fight her
- After beating Mother Brain

That's it.

Edit 1- Has anyone gotten that CheatEngine to actually work with their PSG:2? I haven't. I wanted to learn if Silka learned Nagravito like she does in the original PSII, but she learns it at such a stupidly high level in PSII (LV 45!) that I didn't wanna grind it out myself, but the only code that actually seems like it works is the maximum money code.

Edit 2 - The data for what level the team learns their techs at is horribly wrong. While I don't have a complete list of data, I did find out what levels each of these three learn their last techs at.

Anne learns Gravito at LV 61
Anne learns Gigravito at LV 77

Huey learns Gizan at LV 59

Silka learns Gigravito at LV 57
Silka learns Nagravito at LV 68

I plan to make full tech data when I start my second playthrough.

Oh my freaking Jesus frick, thank you. Uzo is the place I have to write up next in my walkthrough, and the on-site map was no help as it is. You're getting credited.

Awesome! Thank You!
(Incidentally, is it always the center top plant to harvest or is it randomized? )

It seems like it's always the top-center one. It was for me too, at least.

I enlarged the map, though it doesn't exactly look the prettiest, and I added treasure labels to it. Hope you don't mind.
