So far I am writing Part 1 of my Devistation War saga. Its been interesting to think about who Orakio and Laya were and what drove them to do what they did.

My first story is split into 6 parts....and I've kinda only finished about 1....*awkward*

So here it is:

PHANTASY STAR THE DEVISTATION WAR
DARKNESS IN THE STARS
by Damon “DarkMyau” Suffin

Several weeks ago they had picked up the signal:
“Can anyone hear us!? I am Commander Reedav of the Palmain World ship, Drasgow. We are badly damaged and need help immediately! If anyone is out there please respond!”
The signal was on an emergency frequency that each world ship was attuned to. The Alissa 3 had change course immediately for the location of its damaged sister ship. Only a few short days later it had arrived in the star system where the signal had originated from. Its engines almost at the point of overload due to the peoples haste to assist their brethren.
Slowly the ship moved into the star system. Its long range scanners working at full power as it sought the starship Drasgow. Head Pilot and Councillor Ada watched the viewing screens in front of her, fully aware that this could be a trap.

She was right.

The bridge of the World Ship was a multi deck; wall of monitors and control stations disappearing into the darkness below. The main level in which Ada was on, had a Palman crew, but below them Robotic men called Wren units and various droids worked tirelessly to ensure all systems functioned correctly and efficiently. Standing in front of her waist high control panel sat four human pilots, each scanning a different sector of the star system they had just entered. Ada brushed a hand through her short brown hair as she stared at the image of the seven spheres, shaped like a honey comb that was the Drasgow that filled the central monitor. It seemed to just hang in space with very few lights shining from its vast surface. She wondered what had caused it the damage it had clearly suffered.

Beside her sat 6 monitors each showing a different face. The council of the Alissa 3 themselves were glancing down at their notes or looking away to give orders to people off screen. Looking at the third monitor Ada asked “Are they ready to launch?” The older looking woman, Councilwoman Jenine was head of the Alissa 3’s military along with being the Frigidia representative. She had long black hair and a cold demeanour, but Ada knew her well and understood that Jenine was just efficient. Jenine now checked a different monitor and replied, “Everyone is aboard the shuttles, we are ready to deploy on your mark”. Ada nodded and looked to the fifth monitor. “Master Yon? Are all your tech adepts ready yet?” An old looking dark skinned Asian man grumbled back “With those two you can never be sure, but everyone has reported in and are at their stations.” Ada smiles slightly at Yon, he always seemed to be in a hurry to be somewhere else. The representative to the council from Draconia dome, he was usually annoyingly formal. But few had better minds for techs than he did. Well, besides those two she thought.
“All systems scans are complete, councillor. The pilot to the far left said, not turning from his screen. “No threats detected at all or engine trails leading out of system. It seems the Drasgow is alone here”.
Ada thought for a second as the six faces looked to her for her next decision. “Move us in to range then deploy the shuttles. Ada looked to the far left pilot “Keep scanning the area”.

The Alissa 3 finally came to a complete stop only a short distance from its sister ship. As it stopped an uncountable number of shuttles exploded from its sides and its two “moon” ships moved off to create a perimeter around the world ships, each one racing to its designated position within the star system, looking for the smallest trace of trouble. The Alissa 3 would not be caught off guard like the Drasgow must have been.
Many of the shuttles swarmed around the Drasgow, scanning the surface of the world ship and looking for signs of life and reporting all the damage they saw back to the Alissa 3, while others scanned the various planetoids and asteroids for any useful metals or minerals.

“Are we prepared for any refugees?” Ada asked the first monitor. Councillor Demetrius was the head of Parolit dome and would be responsible for any survivors the Drasgow had, assuming the world ship couldn’t be salvaged. He seemed annoyed as he answered. “We have room for two million people, but if Hyperion dome wants to help we could take quite a lot more.” The Councillor for Hyperion glared over at Demetrius “We will make room for people if need be. I’m sure each dome can take a million or more if it’s desperately needed.” An elderly looking woman with long blond hair and a ruby that sat on her brow said flatly. A strong voice interrupted “Let’s keep our minds on the task at hand here.” Ada smiled at Head Councillor Forshus. He was a kind old man with long grey hair that covered one eye. His voice was once described as soothing, but when he wanted, it boomed louder than any Ada had heard in her entire life. “Of course Head Councillor” Demetrius said. He looked away as someone off screen talked to him.
The adept to her right turned in his chair “We have a report that only one of the domes is still functioning, it’s the pilot dome” he said quickly. “Any sign of life?” Ada asked. “Unknown at this time, but it is still pressurised and looks like we can board it there. The other domes look to be dead in space.” He said looking to his own monitor. “Then, this is now a military matter, I will hand over control.” Ada said to councillor Jenine.

Pt 2
“Approach”
The order boomed over several ships comm channels and a small group of fighters broke off from the circling pack. Each one racing towards its nearest hanger. As each fighter entered the hanger it did not land but hovered in place, its weapons tracking in every direction as a transport ship came into view behind it. When the transport had landed the fighter blasted a thin layer of smoke to cover the hanger, turned and darted out of the hanger to resume its place in the circle surrounding the ship.

The doors of the first transport shuttle slowly opened, gas blasted from several ports intended to mask the soldiers emergence from the ships. Without a moment wasted, several soldiers clad from head to toe in black form-hugging armour raced out of the smoke and took positions at each corner of the hangar bay. A second wave of soldiers emerged, moving quickly to re inforce the soldiers in front of them taking up positions near the exits.

Next to emerge was a giant of a man clad in the same black armour. Looking around the empty hanger he slowly removed his helmet revealing mane of florescent green hair, a blue headband covering his brow that he wore always and a young but experienced looking face with a brood smirk. Looking bored he moved towards the nearest soldier. “The hanger is secure sir.” The soldier said in an almost robotic voice through his helmet. “Good, secure the entrance and slowly move into the complex” the giant replied. The soldier saluted and raced away to the nearest doorway. With a click the door slid open and the troops moved into the rooms beyond.

The man turned to look at the second transport arriving in the hanger and when it had landed he walked toward its declining access ramp. More soldiers in the same black armour raced past him seeming not to even notice him standing there. Last down the ramp was a short women in the same armour and with the same florescent green hair as the man. She frowned as she scanned the hanger. “It’s secure and we are moving into the ship. I’ve already order the troops to secure all the entrances to the dome.” The giant finally said. “Hmmm so you rushed ahead to leave me babysitting the techs again Lune”. She said with a frown. Lune smirked “I thought you might benefit from more social interactions dear sister. I’d hate to imagine what people must think of you.” The woman frowned. “They think poor Alair, having a lumbering brute like Lune for a brother” she cut back sharply. Lune seemed to grow angry at the comment but quickly relaxed and smiled wickedly. “Well I’ll leave you too it them”. And with a deep frown from Alair he left to join the troops moving further into the starship.

Several long and tedious moments later several ships, smaller than the troop transport craft that had landed before them, slowly pulled into the hanger. Alair tried to hide a look of impatience as the doors on the nearest ship opened. Finally a young man with a mess of yellow hair, broad shoulders and a cheeky grin emerged and walked slowly towards her. Behind him an identical looking man followed slowly. If not for the dark blue of the second man’s hair, Alair would never have been able to tell them apart.

“It’s about time you got here” Alair said with an almost annoyed tone. “What took all of you so long?” The blond haired man answered, his cheeky grin still prominent on his handsome face “We had a bit of last minute packing, you can never have enough wrenches you know” Alair failed to shake off an annoyed look. “Relax Key Esher, we always get the job done” he winked. Alair went red with anger, she wasn’t fond of these two. Both were so brash, arrogant and seemed to treat all matters like they were a joke. Couldn’t they see how serious this was Alair thought? Just once they could show some discipline. “Keep your ego to yourself tech Sa Riik” Alair growled in instant response. “Is the area secure?” the Blue haired man behind the tech asked. Alair calmed but kept the sharp frown on her face. “Yes Lune has reported no sign of human life, and we have access to the dome now. When you’re ready to go please don’t let me keep you”. “Ok let’s go Rulakir, I wouldn’t want to keep her highness busy with us mere peasants”. The blue haired man said and with a mock salute. With all the techs off the ship by now they departed leaving Alair alone in the hanger. If Alair had looked up at that moment she would have noticed a camera activate and look directly at her.

Rulakir walked slightly ahead of his twin brother, a hand skimming through his short blond hair. He eyed each soldier as they walked past looking for one in particular. She turned to look at them as they approached. “You’ve been assigned to escort us Sergeant” Rulakir said with wide grin on his face. The soldier removed her helmet letting her long black hair cascade down the back of her armour. “I haven’t received any orders?” she mocked in response. “Oh hello Orakio she said looking past Rulakir, how is my brother in law today? I’m still annoyed you didn’t show up for breakfast this morning”. Orakio smiled “Morganna wouldn’t let me get off the phone with her until I promised to spend the weekend with her by the sea. So what is a simple tech like me to do”? The woman smiled at the thought, Orakio and Morgana’s relationship was very melodramatic. Nothing like the happy bond she shared with her husband Rulakir. They just seemed to belong together and always had. “Well then let get going, there’s one village near the north wall of the dome that seems to be undamaged, so that’s where we are going first”. Maria said flatly heading off in the direction of the village.

After the fourth failed attempt by Rulakir to hold her hand Maria walked faster “We are on mission tech Sa Riik. Keep your eyes on the road”. Rulakir smiled at that. “As you command Sergeant”. He mocked a salute and she poked out her tongue in response. “How far are we from the dome entrance now” Orakio asked. Maria look at a data pad. We have activated the walkways so about five minutes I’d say.

Arriving at their destination Orakio sighed. Rulakir and Maria had flirted and play fought the whole way. Didn’t they have a room or three he thought? He loved Maria and was always happy to be around them, but today felt somehow different. Something wasn’t right and he couldn’t escape the feeling that they should turn around and leave the Drasgow to its fate. But how could he even imagine doing that? Who was here and what had happened to damage the ship so severely crippled and drifting in space? This shouldn’t have even been possible, the world ships had legions of soldiers and fighter craft, not to mention the two moon bases that orbited the dome worlds. Yet the Drasgow was here, damaged severely and drifting dead in space.

At the end of the walk stood two large doors that would grand access into the dome itself. Oarkio quickly moved to a terminal and inputted several commands. He looked over his shoulder to the nearest soldiers. The nodded in response and he pressed the final button. As the air rushed in the communication devices they all carried suddenly went crazy with desperate pleas for help and screams of terror.

There! Its working now. Thanks Zucca.

It was such a huge block of text that even I didnt want to read it.

But I established Lune and Alair along with Orakio and Rulakir. I also added a wife for Rulakir. This was re written about 8 times now lol and Ive been playing with it for about 4 years now... So I figured, either get on with it or change my name to George RR Martin.
