like i said, if he has the audio engine set to sound synchronizing mode is set to time stretch, not "none" and he should be good to go.

sounds so weird seeing the clone lab say, "they" instead of "he/she" which i imagine wouldn't really be possible, but even "That Person" would sound better than "They" lol.
also, wtf does the "Pipes" setting do? both on and off, i notice no difference.

personally only 2 complaints so far about the game in general (nothing the team could/did wrong)
no dash button like in 1.
text omg it moves so slow even on the fast settings :(((

Three long years...and the day has come for our wonderful gift unto the world.
And from the ashes of uncertainty the great Phoenix has arisen to fly towards a new dawn.

I'm hoping that going forward everyone can be constructive and detailed when submitting error reports so that they can be fixed and we get a final proper release version 1.0 out the door before the end of the year (maybe).

Please be sure to realize that this is a TEST release and not the full/final release. Test for bugs, test for errors, glitches, wierd things. Test the hell out of it. They've done the lion's share of the work so it is only fair we go through and help them out with polishing it up! LETS DO THIS WHOOOO!

EDIT: Are there no spoiler tags for these forums? >_>

If I'm not mistaken, Benoit added a spoiler tag for some time ago. Not sure, I could just imagine this.

The Pipes Setting is for dungeons. In both the original and remake, there was an overlay of "ceiling pipes." If you want a cleaner screen, this option turns it off. You can first try it out in Shuren.

I don't find this to be major at all since it's an issue on the Original Game mode, but, playing the beta release, I should report any errors or glitches I find, right?

I noticed while testing out the Original Game mode that pressing the Select button will bring up an option menu that displays like this:
Image

It should just be an issue with the font not displaying correctly as each option functions normally. The first returns you to the game, second saves and quits the game, and third quits the game without saving. When selecting the second and third options, they do inform you with text along the lines of "save game and quit" and "quit game without saving." And I tested each option and they do either save and quit or quit without saving.

I hope this is helpful. I've never really beta tested anything, but I really want to help make this project the best it can be in any way that I can. I am enjoying PSG:2 so much and I can't thank you guys enough for all of your hard work!

This is amazing! I played all last night on the latest PCSX2 build for Windows and it runs beautifully. Thank you so much Kyence, Tryphon and Blaw (and others if I have missed them) for making this happen. It is surreal to finally play PSG2 in English and you have done such an great job with it.

Quick question... I think I remember that in the translation for PSG1 Kyence had added the little character portraits in for some of the dialogue with towns people whenever the party members had a specific response to something that they said... I notice that the same sort of thing happens in PSG2. Is this something that you added for PSG2 as well? If so, it is a really nice feature!

Thanks again for putting in all of the time and effort to make this happen!

I don't see any spoiler tags in the post editor.

I would kill for a decent PSG2-specific guide though, since original version guides aren't really helpful in some places with the added sidequests and such. Also to know if things like messing with weapon elements are worthwhile, if dual knives are still better than a sword for Eusis, etc.

Good catch! You found an untranslated text nobody noticed :)
I'll track it. The thing is, I didn't really check the original version (apart checking the English ROM was launched instead of the Japanese one) because the emulated game runs at maybe 10 fps :p

Nope and nope : we didn't add anything apart the translation (even if it is in fact pretty easy to have a portrait appear : it's a control-code inserted in the text).
And I'm pretty sure Kyence didn't add such things either : it was also in the japanese game.

Actually, the portraits in G1 were only used for the Consult and in only a few scenes. I ended up adding them in the rest of the game myself . The only place I found out they didn't work was the cutscenes so I didn't put them in there.

Huh? There were moments where the portraits didn't show up? I honestly don't remember that...
But, well... Given how long since I last played it and given my "nice" memory...

Bad assumption from my part, sorry.

The Emulator menu bug is fixed.

As Tryphon mentioned, the bug for the original game menu has been found and fixed. It will be featured in the next beta version, which will be some time after next week. We want to give some time for people to play through more of the game so we can fix any more issues that come up.

For reference, playing the original game and pressing the select button brings up a menu that is garbled in the current beta release. However, selecting them does perform the correct function. The menu is the following:

Return to game
Save & Quit
Quit Without Saving

Selecting the second or third option does bring up the correctly translated confirmation dialog.

Thank you for this Kyence, Tryphon, Blaw, and anyone else involved in this project!

I still have clear data from when I completed PSG1, and I am currently on my first playthrough of PSG2 with it loaded.
I'm near the end of a 25 year long quest to save Nei!

Don't know if it counts as a bug for your reports but...
when loading the clear data, the dialog box that pops up to let you know it has "Loaded" the data, it simply states...
"Loading Clear Game Save."

I actually sat there waiting for it to finish loading for a few minutes, when it in fact finishes instantly, and all I had to do was...
press O.
Shouldn't the box actually read...
"Clear Game Save Loaded." ?

BUG: when saving a game, if the first digit of any of the three time slots is a zero, it does not appear at all...
For instance, if you save your game at...
"04:03:02" hours into play, it will display as...
" 4: 3: 2".
I checked the other minutes/seconds and 1-5 work fine as they are.

Thank you again for all your hard work!!! This is epic!
