Found some interesting stuff while I was browsing the net.
The origins of Easter, derived by an English scholar from the 8th century called St. Bede (Which is also the guy that my home area in Bristol is name after, Bedminster), claimed that Easter originated from Scandinavian and Teutonic beliefs. These two ancient cultures worshipped a goddess that signifys spring and fertility, Ostra (Scandinavian) or Eastre (Teutonic) on the day of the vernal equinox.
Cool.
EDIT: Was I incorrect with the information I've found in regards to the origin of Easter?

[Edit by ThePeaGuy on [TIME]1111957234[/TIME]]
