If a guy has a crush on me but I don't like him, I could tell him to "F___ off!" or even kill him!

But that isn't violent.
This is violent reason, now what do you do if you were being bullied by a bully?
Also, I heard lots of people say, The reason why they bully is because theey are afraid .
Isn't that right?

You say it isn't violent, but believe me, if a guy has a crush on you it and they won't leave you be it can get pretty threatening. Some guys can be very weird about rejection.
I think that people's behaviour, good or bad, is a response to something that's happened to them at one point in their life. That original event is like the root of one of their character traits. If it's a good characters trait then that root is a good thing indeed, but if it's a bad character trait then the root is like the root of a weed; You can pull the weed up as often as you like (equivalent to being nasty or violent to them) but the root is still there. You have to address the root or your just playing an infinite game of tennis - back and forth forever!

[Edit by Zubon on [TIME]1113709211[/TIME]]

Yeah but I've had guys wait outside my house before I left for school or college. Then when I've actually being going out with a boy another one won't get it and will just harass us both until whatever boy I was actually with had to tell them to go away rather more forcefully. I hate to see it. :(

The point is that Evil cannot be appeased.
If you're being bullied, Reason states you defend yourself. You fight back and stop him. Or you report, and get rid of him.
The act of reporting or fighting back is a wrong, But in this case, your wrong and his wrong make a right. It's resolved.
One cannot appease evil, for it will never end. Concedence leads to even worse.

How do you know that "evil" exists as some intangiable force that can infect anything at will?
Evil is just an adjective, not the final boss in an RPG or something... ¬_¬
With all this talk of reason, logic and the "Wizard's Rules" I have to ask; Is it logical or reasonable to take the rules of a fantasy writer that hardly anyone has heard of so seriously? These are the "wizard's" rules, not your rules! :)

Zubon, you're taking what Khyron says out of proportion and applying it to almost everything.
Please think twice before posting... -_-
You're making this more confusing than it is.

Evil is only what you make it. Nothing is truly evil: people only call something "evil" if they believe it is wrong. To the kids that shot up Colombine, what they did was not evil, even though the rest of us thought it to be.

Amazing. Simply amazing.
Who would've thought that a discussion based on a kid that is acting stupid online would turn into a philisophical discussion about good and evil?

Starlight, in one month's time I will remind you that you stood up for Mage1, and you'll wonder why you ever did so...

Is it logical or reasonable to take the rules of a fantasy writer that hardly anyone has heard of so seriously?

I guess being a New York Times Bestselling author means that nobody's heard of you, correct? Just because you're ignorant doesn't mean that everybody else is as well.

Evil is only what you make it. Nothing is truly evil: people only call something "evil" if they believe it is wrong. To the kids that shot up Colombine, what they did was not evil, even though the rest of us thought it to be.

This has some merit, Gipper, but it's a little skewed. Essentially you're saying that all evil is subjective. Not true. There are certain objective evils that while being subjective to the person commiting them, are objectively evil to nearly everybody else. For example, the genocide of the Jews at the hands of Hitler is a truly objective evil. No, not to Hitler and his Nazi regime, but then we must question the state of mind that Hitler was in. Indeed, I believe he was insane. As for his followers, whether they were in a like state of mind or not, they all had some sort of gain to following Hitler. So, there are objective evils, Gipper. Not to mention that whether or not it's subjective to the person is irrelevant when that person is commiting something that our consciences tell us is morally wrong.

Despite the current debate at hand, may I memind those that are eager to attack Mage one that it is
against the rules to personally attack someone. If you have an issue, use PM or talk to the webmaster.
[Edit by Rika on [TIME]1113779842[/TIME]]

*sees everybody talking about retardation*
Well, I'm on the clock now, so I'll speak up or myself.
I never said "Mage1 is retarded". I said "retardation should have ended with the bored thread." Unless you plan to suggest to me that everybody who's ever posted something silly is retarded, I'm not the bad guy. But a vast majority of what he posts is stupid. I've stuck up for him before, if you bother reading the rest of the forums, but I've given him one chance, and he doesn't care that everything he posts is either irrelevant or moronic. So I've had it. And another thing- EVERYBODY on these boards has been insulted in one way or another, but we were bright enough to change. He's not.
Take it from there.
