Borrow a image to give someone a glimpse until they can draw their own.
I've had people use my artwork for their chars and it was fine.
Poor Victoria though..
Ah, people may do it but it doesn't make it right -- especially when the character apparently has the same look and name as the one that's being displayed originally :X Honestly, had I known and been approached, at that point I likely would have tried to help out and made a special image just for her. But, being in the same fandom, with the same name, and the same image is just bizarro and has potential for problems, especially without asking. In fact, bringing up the subject the other day I found that it was another PS roleplayer who had mentioned something to my friend first before it ever got back to me, wondering if I had changed my handle again ( as I was known for doing; I was never happy with my Ultema names until I decided to stick with the simple one XD ).
I mean, I roleplayed in the PS world on AOL for years before and at the same time with my Ultema character; a little AOLsearch would have done no harm, would have given all the answers in how to contact me, since apparently she was going to seek the permission to use my work, and I would have been able to inform my friend about the situation before she flew off the handle. XD I doubt I would have said yes to allowing anyone use the name, background likeness and appearance in, conjuction with one another, of the same exact character I played in the same exact fandom, but at least something could have been worked out.
I know I deliberately had a disclaimer that without my permission, my work wasn't to be used for anything... And while that isn't physically going to stop anything, it shouldn't be translated as "and if you can't contact me for some reason, oh what the heck, use my work anyway!". It should more be translated as "If you can't contact me, you haven't gotten my permission and therefore please don't touch".
The more I think about it, the weirder it is, anyway. XD
Bad foresight on her part, I guess.

I am freelancing and learning 3D while here in Maryland. Thinking about possibly working at BethesdaSoft, even though I'm not into the style of the work in their games.
