Oh yeah, Lyn being an assist trophy kicks ass. Same with Isaac from Golden Sun. My only complaint is that we got Jigglypuff where we could've had one of those two as actual characters, or Wolf Link. I don't know, some of the character choices I thought were a little iffy, but once you've played a lot of matches, you'll find that the roster is quite varied and interesting. No clone-itis here... even Falco and Wolf play substantially different from Fox.

No cloneitis? Ganondorf is still a Captain Falcon clone, and Lucas is just a clone of Ness. The latter wouldn't matter if Ness wasn't in the game...

I don't care. I played it. Loved it. Just like Melee with a whole ton of new features. Boss fights are awesome. MetaKnight owns your mother.

The so called "clone" characters have been massively altered however. Different attacks between Falcon and Ganondorf:

-Neutral A
-Up Smash
-Up A tilt
-Aerial Side A
-Side B
-Up B

Fair enough I think. Falcon's style is still very fast. Ganondorf has become more of a rigid power character than he was before. Those move differences are not just speed and range alterations either. They have different effects.

Same goes for Falco and Wolf, especially Wolf. Their final smashes are unfortunately cloned but the movesets have enough alterations.


Compared to melee, the feel of clone characters has moved closer to being non-existant.

i have only played Brawl for a little bit, but...was Peach nerfed? she sure seemed like it when i played.

Olimar from Pikmin was a blast, though xD

Some were nerfed, others were made better. It seems to be well balanced so far...

But games end up being cracked into eventually...

Speaking of cracked... did you know that only 48 hours after it's release, someone cracked the characters from Melee that weren't included in Brawl? They're incomplete tho. However, in what way(s) they're incomplete... I haven't the slightest idea...

yeah i think that brawl is F"N sweet but i have to admit that roy not being there was a shock however meta knight rules META GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to agree. Roy was my favorite Melee'er. It's Meta Knight with Brawl, but would probably still be Roy if he were available. I even beat the 51 event with Roy (even tho it's easier to do it with Fox)
