Ah, no problem. I never played a Phantasy Star game before IV, and I'd only seen pics and "coming soon!" articles in Gamepro and Sega Visions magazines. I needed a good RPG for my Genesis after playing Final Fantasy IV (III at the time) on the SNES. I went to my local video rental store and found it there, so I grabbed it and eagerly started playing it. I LOVE Phantasy Star IV. I try to have an annual play through of it.

It wasn't until recently that I got Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for the Xbox360 that I started working my way (slowly) through Phantasy Star II. This game is TOUGH. I'll get to Phantasy Star the First after I complete II (whenever THAT may be.)
