Mm.. The Schitzophrenia is starting..

First it is the doctors will hurt you. Next they are poisoning the medicine... Next they are wiretapping you... Next it'll be your neighbors.. Then the supermarket people..

Soon you'll be locked indoors all day as the paranoia takes hold.. You'll become sicker and sicker and eventually die...

I don't see a bright future.. It's sad! ;.;

Some trust has to be given in the world to survive and be healthy.

There're all around me! Stay away from me! AHHHHH!

*Ahem* No, that's not exactly what I meant. I didn't say all docters are over doing it or not enough. Most do it because they simply don't have enough education, not because they are evil (although some are). Heck, just look at how bad general public hospitals are. Even walkin clinics are better.

Oh and Khyron, I'm studying phycology too at school so I know that I'm not going insane. I've seen a woman with schitzophrenia at my apartment building so I know what it's like. You should respect people until there is a reason not to, but you shouldn't trust everyone until you know them well enough and they've earned it from you. I believe there was an old topic here about that.

Haha.. Just trying to warn you beforehand my friend.

Fearing things for the wrong reasons leads to more fear.

It sometimes leaves a strange feeling right after you get one that starts to hurt. Then again, they x-rayed me non-stop for some reason when I busted my finger a lot time ago. They always do stuff like that, either their idoits or it's some kind of sick scheme. Well x-rays do mutate your DNA... Bah, don't they know that? They take x-rays too lightly, same with blood tests, they take so much from you. The best thing to do is not get sick, docters in most countries now-a-days will mess you up bad, seriously. It's pretty sad actually...

Hrm... that's kinda odd. I've never had pain from an x-ray and if you listen to all the scientific literature and take it as truth, everything mutates your DNA, causes cancer, is really bad for you, blah blah blah. Take for example second hand smoke. There is NO real evidence that it is as bad as they say, it is all based on one single paper that I'm told is dubious at best (I have yet to find/read this paper). The medics are well aware that x-rays cause mutations, but they're incredibly useful for diagnostics, as well as being easier/cheaper than CT scanning or MRI.

Blood tests, they'll take maybe 40ml of blood at the most? >.< You can get away with a lot more than that without doing any harm. I'm not saying that all doctors are great, but maybe it's not as bad as you think?

If it makes you feel any better, we vets are much better than any doctor :P We can deal with more than one species, and we're therefore smarter! Next time you get sick, go to the vet! (I'm joking, we're not allowed to treat humans unless it's a dire emergency and no-one else can help)

Second hand smoke leaves tar build up at the edges of your lungs which causes you to lose breathing capacity. It's worse than first hand as you breath it directly into your lungs and not through a filter like the people actually smoking it. And there's those tons of harmful chemicals in them too. It can damage your teeth pretty badly too.

That is only the tip of the iceberg...you should see what it does to your brain.

Heh, and your wallet.

I have to disagree, smoking is worse for you than second-hand smoke. I've been passive-smoking all my life, or until I was 14 when I started smoking myself. And a slight tar build up on the edges of your lungs may reduce breathing capacity a little, but there's plenty of reserve there. And that still doesn't equate to lung cancer or major mortality. If they can provide evidence, fine but until then...

One of the great ironies I have seen in this world is that 95% of Italy's population smokes, but per capita it's one of the oldest countries in the world. In addition, I'd wager that 8/10 professional athletes smoke.
