Yeah, I'm watching it in English. As I said, I couldn't stand the dubbed version. Apollo's voice, sounded bad, and Adama's... Don't even get me started on that... But the worst ever was Kara Thrace's... She sounded like a fifteen year old girl...

It's not that I'm trying to please anyone beyond myself with this fanfic. If people end up liking it, then I'll be happy. But what I don't want to do is to fall into simple crude jokes that go just for the sake of being rude. Also, those three characters are more directly based on three different people I have encountered, and while I respect two of them, the other one, who would end up inspiring the one that would be the butt of some jokes, is a real annoyance and I directly based that character on how annoying he was (is).

I'll write a prototype scene with them, and if I like it, I'll add them. Otherwise, I'll scrap those three and think up different characters.

Doesn't bug me any. I've been reading the instruction manual to an old Pontiac the past couple days because I can't go anywhere with my car stuck in my front yard (the snow is an inch higher than the floor of my Saturn at the moment). It's a little under 2 hours to the nearest town on foot, so that isn't an option without a good reason (like running out of caffeine). I think I'm due for a good novel, regardless of the topic, and I'm bored of typing my own at the moment.

Ignore me! I'm almost done with part 1 of this story; I'll be fleshing out existing chapters and adding maybe two or three more new chapters to get it between 50K-60K. Then it's on to part 2. In other words, it's not close to being finished.

Break out some Willie Nelson, because I'm on the road again, 177 miles into a 600 mile trip. Normally I would hate this, but I'm fortunate in that I don't get car sickness, therefore I can read, and I can also play around on the internet thanks to this wacky configuration of laptop, car outlet converter thingie and 3G wireless connection.

Also, the Bible Belt sure does have a lot of pr0n superstores. Does that count as irony? (Note: I'm not really making fun of Christians. I happen to be one, but I'm one of those crazy liberal Christians that's probably going to hell anyway.)
