Leaving online ep. 1&2

Well, I've had my fun, this will be my last month. Here is what I can sum up for anyone that is thinkning of going on:<p>Plus's<br>-Many new quests, learn more than what you thought you could<br>-Play with four people, but with a full screen(duh)<br>-Control Tower quests, new levels and enemies, always good right?<br>-Ep. 2 Challenge mode<br>-Fun to spend photon drops<p>These were my main favorites, but you can learn these from pretty much anywhere, now for what they don't tell you...:<p>Negative's<br>-Hacking and duping is a problem(Lots of Double Cannons flying around with 100%Dark etc.)<br>-Sega is lazily trying to stop these problems<br>-No download quests, a promise not kept<br>-Chatting is a bitch without keyboard hook-up<br>-The dreaded FSOD, if you forget to deposit once, you may be doing a lot of hunting<br>-Plus, I always see talk of duping, and games called "dupe help". And nothing is being done!<p>Well, there you go. I would say its a fun expirience, and you should try it (first month free), but I can live with the comfort of offline and just play with my friends for the rest of my gaming time.

I'm sorry to hear that Neo i was thinking of going online this summer when i get a job and maybe playing with you.<p>Ps. just for the record you posted in another topic that you got Diablo, just so you know dubing and cheating etc. arn't any better in it but if you play with friends you'll be fine,ohh and so you know their are alot of Pkers in the game to so watch yourself

On the contrary, a new patch came out. Duping and cheating is now only in Open Battle.net.

:p hehe i haven't played in awhile so i wouldn't know... damn i have to load that stupid patch again :p <p>Ps whats the difference between open battle net and closed(i presume thats what its called) do you change them manully in your options or what?

Heh, well you have stored battle.net which is using the characters that they have stored on their server, so you can't altar them in any way. Open battle.net is where you can use your single player character(stored on your computer) and these characters are able to be messed with.<br><p>[size=small][Edit by Neo48 on [TIME]1087324044[/TIME]][/size]

There's no cheating or hacking for Diablo 2 if you make a character on the server? Please...<p>I still play Diablo 2 occasionally online, Without the expansion and I see this stuff all the time. O.o<p>It's worse on Diablo 1 if you play it on Bnet. Just go and ask someone to Dupe you a ring of the zodiac and voila! <p>LOL<p>But I agree, Sometimes Diablo 2 may be better

If only I had a few friends I could play with (regularly)...

I know how you feel, out of all my friends 2 of them play Pso and one of them got he's disc stolen from him so i have one friend i can with with on it and he lives 3 towns away ~_~ .<p>It just isn't fair !@#$

There are map hacks(Who cares if they see the map?), but the odds of running into a hacked character are extremely slim.

If I could run the expansion and had the disk space and money I would.<p>But the truth is, People who cheat or want to cheat, Will always ruin games.<p>On Diablo 1, I would dupe my heal potions for new people to help them survive.

You have more risks of loosing items in multimode offline than online, don't forget it.<br>Plus, if you search well, you can find many dupers who only dupe because everybody do it...but they're always happy to keep a second character "pure" to play with legits.<br>Finally, C-mode resets every character: they cannot use duped items there.

If a black out occurs or if you forget to save well, or to retransfer a temporary character on its original memory, damages are way worse.<br>In the first two cases you loose every item both in inventory and in your bank, in the second you loose the character itself.

Online:<br>-More of a chance to lose stuff<br>-Not as much is lost<p>Offline:<br>-Low chance of losing stuff<br>-More is lost<p>Nintendo improved the memory saving for when blackouts happen on the GC. So that wont happen often. Blackouts have caught me before, and no loss of anything has happened.<br>The problem is there is so much saving online. When you leave a shop, enter a new level, take a telepipe down, or start a quest. All these opportunities for the connection to be lost.
