You get a cut-scene if you use the right character for the mission.

Are these cut-scene's videos (eg. FFVII)? Or are they just like regular gameplay which you don't conrtol (eg. PSO)?

These cut scenes are the best style that you will ever see...the manga cutscene. The scenes are done, panel by panel, with changing expression, poses etc. and text on the bottom. The style suggests that they were all drawn by hand, and the artist is very good.

I'm an Arkz!

And tell me, which SC(s) do you like playing as? And what kind of deck(s) do you have? What type of rares? I'm interested. :D

I currently don't have a favorite Story Character. I have only one deck, which I called "Arkz Deck", which I modify as I get new cards. At the moment I don't know how to adapt to my Story Character's weaknesses and strengths, at least not with the cards I have now.
As for rare cards, I got a Gizonde card, which is great.

Gizonde? I haven't seen that one. For Arkz, it's wise to build up your cards before making any themed decks. Get a lot, and then base your theme around a character that would complement that. Like for instance, my High Mage deck...I stuck in around 8 techniques with Canadines, Canabin, Cananes and Canunes so that I could place the Canadines on the field, give a boost to the Canane which could then cause major damage. The two bolded names are technique users, and they both have pretty good HP, so they can take a few hits. But...that "boost" that I talked about doesn't just work with Canadine and Canabins, it works with all Machine cards, so when I get more machines (I'll replace Gigoboomas with Dubchics) I will have a powerful deck. The power is called "Machine AP count". Not to mention "Leader"...major power boosts. Then, so I could make use of the techniques even more, I stuck Memoru in as my SC.

Hunters play different. They don't have the distinct advantage over Arkz as people thought.
With a Hunter, you can have a few strategies. You may choose quantity over quality, and have a bunch of easy to use weapons. You may have a bunch of rare cards. But those are beginner strategies.
Some weapons power up with others, and in great quantities you can have a deck themed around them. Weapons have distinct combo potential or technique potential. Right now my best deck only has about 10 weapons in it, and the rest are massive combos I set up (21 damage points) or techniques.

Now I have tried all my Story Characters, except for Ohgun.
I like Reiz for her Pierce ability, which is good to use with a Long Arm card, and if I can figure it out, an additional AP boost card.
I also like Creinu. I always liked how she looked, and her HP Assist ability is cool.
Honorable mention goes to Peko, for his Tech ability, which I'll explain.
It seems that some things aren't correctly translated. The card says that HP Assist restores 1 HP to every creature within one block. However, it doesn't seem to matter how far the creatures are. Peko's card says that using a Technique uses 1 Attack Point less with Tech. However, it seems that using a Technique in practice costs only 1 Attack Point. I can use Gizonde with one Attack Point instead of four.

Split Boost is a good AP enhancing card. You're gauranteed ar least 1 AP extra and you may get as many as 6 AP extra. Also, Reiz is a character that you want to guard with Guard Creatures while she gets in their and strings together massive combos. Peircing is deadly...

It seems that some things aren't correctly translated. The card says that HP Assist restores 1 HP to every creature within one block. Honorable mentions go to Endu, as well. Rio can be an asset with her Revenge power...very useful in a pinch.
If you like Peko, pack your deck with techniques, grab some Pouilly Slimes (Breed allows you to set another on the field for 0 ATK) and hit the field. Make sure to include technique weilding grunts such as E. Sharks. I can garantee that you will like the results. :D

Peko's not bad indeed, but I'm a bit pissed at him when he let himself get trapped with cake, making the battle start out with him close to the two Hunter attackers. And he doesn't even move away!
I'm happy to say that I have gotten two Pofuilly Slimes during my last plays. :)
I still have to include the second in my deck, though.
I've replaced my two Gigoboomas with two Guil Sharks. Better.
The black RAcast of the Hunter's side sucks. He has only 10 HP, but he doesn't lose HP when objects are destroyed. It took me quite a while before I could damage him.
Then I have another story, which I'll post soon.

I've replaced my two Gigoboomas with two Guil Sharks. Better.

Yes, with Group, they are good. However, Weak Spot is a huge drawback...but Guil Sharks are good for grunt work.
That damn Peko mission took me about five tries to complete. One time, the bastard used a Madness card and killed himself.
That reminds me, I've got to start playing again. I haven't played in weeks due to the difficulty of Unseen Enemy 2. I've got a good strategy, but I've yet to try it out...*cough*Companion!*cough*

Yes, you can. But when you battle you don't play with your character that you created.
Why does it matter anyway?
