I believe it has the name, it is. Just like Metroid Prime is a real Metroid, it's just changed its formats a little.

PSO is a completely different game from the original series.

Still got the same relative parts, like Pioneer, Ragol, etc. But the different elements are different in all the PS's, such as characters, monsters, etc.

ya, but not all game series can keep goin on the same all the time. i played a ps demo, im sure the whole series was very good. but change can be good. and, from what i've read on these forums, pso does make some small references to the ps games

I believe they are related. There are a lot of hard to find elements that have been the same in both games.

EDIT: I really, really, hate the spell names, though. Foie= Ugh....whatever happened to Foi?

As you know, it was translated more correctly. :)
Phantasy Star Online is a Phantasy Star game set in a different universe with a different style of play. It's a completely new Phantasy Star series.

ya, that would be good, if they went back to the gameplay style of ep. 1 & 2. sry to those who are fans of ep. 3, but i just don't like it, and alot agree. sega has to make a choice, please the fans of ep.3 and stay the new way, or go back and please the other half of the fans, if they try to please everybody, they ownt' please anybody, which really sucks

and alot agree

95% of the people who don't like Episode III have never tried it, and/or dismiss it just because it has cards. Dumbasses.
