Stance on Cheating and useing hacked items?

I was able to find a PSO private PC server so I've been playing on that the past few days but anyway, waht does everyone think of cheating and/or useing items given to someone that were hacked?

This subject has already been discussed. Almost everyone on this board is legit.

Yeah, Everyone who plays online is legit because they COMPLETELY trust someone else to be legit.<p>Hell, that Durandal you get from a friend is legit because you think he plays legit..<p>when in reality it probably is not legit.<p>So really, you're in the middle online because you can never REALLY tell.<p>I mean, A durandal with no percents could have been gotten from a hacker and given to you or duped.<p>You'll never know if the item was duped<p>SO really you're only PARTIALLY legit because you never know. <p>P.S. Playing with known hackers in a community doesn't make you legit technically. You're in the middle.

Dupers and Hackers ruin the trading systems. People become paranoid. It pisses me off.

ya, trading sucks unless you know the person and trust them alot. id probably trade with about 60% of the forums here. which is really annoying

Woulnd the fact of just been "online" considered cheating? Higher experience from monsters, and not to mention there is no real way of knowing if your partner has been tweaked or not.<p>Been legit or unlegit is pretty much on the eye of the beholder. The simple attitude I have come to accept is personality over equipment. I hate jerks. And a legit jerk is just as bad an unlegit jerk. People who are fanatical sometimes fall into the jerk category. Show offs, babies, complainers, and all negative attitudes create the "jerk" syndrome.<p>

I am totally, one hundred percent legit...<br>I will not accept hacked/duped items, I do not dupe/hack myself...etc.<br>I haven't been online, but I would only trade with people that I know and trust... I wouldn't trade with a stranger.

May them be legit or not, if they are been rude in the way they play it doesnt benefit anyone. And yes it can be stereotyped that hackers are "jerks" just for the fact that they are hacking to begin with. But I dont automatically call anyone a hacker, duper, or whatever until they say they are. i think unless the item is VERY duped (trades really hard to find items) or hacked (super high percents) looking or any combo of the two (rare with percents like my black king bar) i consider it legit (not very rare with not super high percents like the durandel +5 you got from that kid online)

I agree totally.<p>I remember when I played Diablo 1 I used all the hacks and duped quite a bit as well. I didn't rub it in peoples faces or went around killing people. I just minded my own buisness. Though, I also had legit characters too, so I could get a taste from both dishes . Though now I prefer to stay away from hacking or duping.<p>As far as Black King Bar goes, I prefered not to use it mostly because of its shunning online. Its impossible to make people believe you when you say something like it is legit, I just got tired of being called a hacker. Some people didn't want me in their games if I used that weapon! Sheesh! I earned that weapon. This is what hackers and dupers do. I have a hacked n legit char there but I never play it. There's even cheats there that teleport you to Boss 1, 2, 3 and 4! ~0
