Variable ATP

Okay, so this I seemed to recognize with weapons, but never understood why. What I have gathered from Benoits link (if you could post it here for others to view) it seems that like I thought, some weapons aren't as they seem. I had once thought to dig deeper into this, but then I got online, must have slipped my mind. I'm going to look into this some more. As stated in the article I read, it can be seen that Demolition Comet is better than Meteor Cudgel. <p>But with this comes a question. It stated something about only adding Shifta Bonus to variable high ammount. Which can give a true variable damage of 382 ATP on Meteor Cudgel. Now it didn't mention anything about adding shifta bonus to Demolition Comet. Now my question is: Does Shifta add to your base ATP, and not your weapon + base ATP? Because that would explain why they worded it this way.<p>You may have to check the article to understand the question.

I believe Shifta increases your base ATP, because if you dont equip a weapon you're still stronger than before. :heh

It will have to be tested. Maybe I'll go in with my El Magico and Neo to figure this out, I'll return later with the answer. Seeing as how I also have both Demolition Comet and Meteor Cudgel.

Alright. After trying out this expirement. I have learned that Shifta only affects your base ATP. And like said in the article, Shifta also affects the High end of variable ATP weapons. Which means, could Demoliton Comet be better than Meteor Cudgel? That depends on your decision. I'm going to check out the weapons and see what I can dig up...

Well, after a viewing of some weapons, I have noticed a few things that could change your equips. Note that when I am doing this, always take into account that the weapon is fully grinded. Note also that I may have put some of my own accuracy choices in to change the lists from what you may enjoy. If you ignore accuracy and focus on the power then these lists may not work for you. I'm going to do the Katana:<p>I will begin with the Agitos. There are really only two that you need to worry about. the years 1980 and 1983. Off the start it would seem that 1983 is the better choice. But its got a variation of 300 ATP. 1983 has 50 more ATP than 1980 at the high end, but has 235 less ATP at the low end. So you can see that 1980 would be a smarter choice. Here is a list of what the best choice would be:<p>-1980<br>-1977<br>-1975 (duh, obviously you'll make this Orotiagito instead of leaving at 1975)<br>-1983<br>-1991<br>-2001<p>As you can see, 1980 has the best combination to help you out. Sange and Yasha are the exact same, but if you were to aquire them both, then you'd probably make the Twin Sword combo. But to place them in that list they would fit between 1977 and 1975. Other two popular Katana, though rarer, would be Kamui and Yamigarasu. Those would both be placed at the top of the list (of all Katanas stated so far) with Kamui being the better choice. Kamui also boasts having no variable ATP. But obviosly, the top contender is the rare Orotiagito, which has ATP out of any others league. So now lets make another list.<p>Orotiagito<br>Kamui<br>Yamigarasu<br>-1980<br>-1977<br>-Sange or Yasha<br>-1975 <br>-1983<br>-1991<br>-2001<p>Now there are some others that are not very popular, mostly because they would be all at the bottom of the list, those being Harisen Battle Fan, Huge Battle Fan, Toy Hammer and Akikos frying pan. Do to there lack of power, they are not advised for use.<p>This is just one list of many that can be done, Though this would take a long time. If you are interested in a list similar to this, but with a different class of weapon, just ask, and I'll see what I can do.

Though you have to think of it as in terms of realism. An Orotiagito is very rare, unless you have the blessing of being able to get it from a rare enemy (where it still can be rare), so you more have to look at what you have.

lol, did you get bored neo??? oh well, glad somebody got bored enough to that, it was interesting. but i wonder now. if a weapon has variable atp, where does that number shown on your stats screen come from, is it the high, the low, the average. this i would like to know

The addition shown is the high number. <p>Boredum? I little I guess. But as I was compsing this, it got interesting. Though, I choose to not do anymore lists unless anyone wanted one. It took me about 5 minutes to make this list, then another five to explain it, so not much time off of my hands.
