New RPG to play

[Halikus MK2]

I have PS2 and GC and i am looking for a deep RPG to play. I own Star Ocean 3, FFX, Disgaea, Tales of symphonia and Zelda. Can anyone recommend a good one not listed. I will import from US if I have to as my consoles can play imports. has anyone tried Suikoden or Xenosaga as they can be picked up cheap at the mo. $1.92 to the £1 right now!!<p> Before anyone suggests them I have played and completed Skies of arcadia and Grandia on the DC many moons ago!<p>[size=small][Edit by Halikus MK2 on [TIME]1110551350[/TIME]][/size]

Ive played that game before and it pretty good although each disk is pretty short

Hmm maybe. I loved the Anime so I may give it a look. is the combat turn based or real time? Alos i heard its set like an mmorpg but offline how does this work?

Get Phantom Brave for PS2. or Ys VI. for Ps2....

Ys has had some good things said about its story but is it a real time engine or turn based as 90% of hack and slash does bores me. I played baldurs gate on my xbox,and well 20 minutes of mindless hacking later I removed the game and relagted it to the cupboard. PSO is the only hack and slash style thing I can get on with.

Yeah shadow hearts is coo.<p>Ys is a different breed of hacknslash.......Heh play the original baldurs gate for PC.......THATS a baldurs gate.....<p>Another game worth the check may be Persona 3 for PS2.....<p>...............Ys ..................its calling to you..........<p>Xenosaga 1 = crap......more of a movie then a game, and its tedious...................Xenosaga 2......eh wait til you can get it for 15-20$.........<p>Suikoden........1 and 2 are perfect, 3 is garbage (HORRID battle system......gimpy story system)., Suikoden IV is another nice one, mostly waterbased, nice themes, ditches Suikoden ]|['s mess

I have played PSO ep III and very good it is. Shadow hearts: Covenant is coming soon so I will most likely checkit out. Suikoden III seems to be held in higher regard to IV everywhere I have looked but I will be getting IV anyway as it has the HI-DEF support left in from the US release and no games on PS2 have been able to push my tele. I have to see true Hi Def for myself! Kingdom Hearts is pretty goood if you don't mind the Disney Characters. It's a Hack and slash RPG, btw.

Kingdom Hearts was fun! Even though it lasted about 2 days over xmas break for me lol....short but excellent...the gummy ship part was awesome....customizable gummy bear ship things w/ lazers !
