Of course, in this time of advanced warfare, it is no longer necessary to mobilize large armies. Conventional weapons replace the need for actually combat. And don't even get me started on the damned BMD...

The same could be said about Bullet Proof Vests. Guns proliferated as a result and most of the time, the damn things are useless. Flak vests as well. So why do we even use them? You're arguement is flawed. First of all, testing has yeilded that the missile interception oftentimes does not work, that is, misses the target. This does not bode well for the BMD plan. <br>Secondly, in any given scenario for nuclear war, the BMD plan, when deployed, will cover <b>at the most</b> only 1% of ICBMs launched, not to mention that the BMD will provoke the launch of even more ICBMs. Additionally, the BMD plan does not have the capacity to intercept missiles at close range... that is to say that if a ship launched an ICBM off the coast of the U.S, BMD will not be able to intercept the ICBM. <br>Lastly, before this defense is "perfected", there is likely to be nuclear war. The BMD plan puts immense pressure on Russia and China to develop their arsenals and adds to nuclear proliferation. <br>

Hmm...let's invade Russia in the winter! I can recall two leaders who did this: Napoleon and Hitler. Neither of them fared so well.<p>Russia could easily be invaded now, though. Long range bombers could fly in from places like England, Germany, Poland, Afghanistan, ect. and bomb the snot out of any major city that there is. Other than western Russia (the European part), most of the Russian population lies in one 100 mile wide strip across Asia. Take out supply lines to these areas, and the place falls apart, then you have only to bomb Moscow.

Aww, that's a stereotype. I could say that all Germans are angry because the language sounds that way. I'm sure the people have stereotypes about the English language as well.

You can make any language sound beautiful or ugly, depending on how you use it. Let's take english as the universal example since we all seem to speak it. It is a hybrid language, so had a particular demand to be spoken and also sung with the correct syntax and grammar. If it isn't, it sounds terrible. I remember my first year in an American high school and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The first thing I thought was, 'Are these people speaking english?'

Also, the french sound like they are always annoyed at something.<p>Germans sound rude.<p>Italians sound like they are fighting all the time.<p>Brazilian portuguese sounds like a continuous song with all the tone variations you may get in a phrase.<p>You just can´t understand what Argentinans are saying, even if you know spanish.

Quite entertaining.<p>Edit: Japanese language sounds formal, unlike chinese.
