...to a character, NPC, enemy, statue, specific patch of grass or anything Phantasy Star related.

Who/what they are and why you think they're cool.
I'll be starting off with one of the most underrated characters in Phantasy Star history...

Hahn is so timid, it's hard for people to get him to use his strengths... and by the end, with everyone loaded up with legendary items and deadly skills, Hahn is no more powerful than the next guy, his deadly Sa Vol technique made redundant by the uber-powerful Negatis... Raja is especially powerful, being a phenominal healer and dealing great damage too with Saint Fire, not to mention that ever-useful Ataraxia.
Early on though, Hahn is capable of kicking serious butt. Take a look at his strengths and weaknesses...
Weaknesses:
- Generally low defence
- His knife damage sucks

Strengths:
- His techniques own (Gelun, though it doesn't defeat enemies, makes them totally useless anyway. Wats deal a good deal of damage too. His Res is also one of the most powerful versions between characters.)
- He is loaded with Technique Points.
So, he's a scientist not a fighter. Lets turn those Weaknesses into Strengths. Get rid of the knife/s, and equip TWO shields. There we go, now he's the most well defended of your characters...
Instead of Using attack, use Wat. With the amount of TP he has, you won't be running out... Put Wat into your macros, and just use Wat as his regular attack,... If you want to win a battle, use Gelun... all enemies become harmless and easy to pick off... There we go, now he's got the highest attack damage too...
Res Res Res and you can take out almost any boss singlehandedly

Both his weaknesses amended, you now have a highly skilled master of techniques in your group who isn't wasting his time scratching enemies with his pocket knife (as almost everyone who plays PSIV reduces him to).
Hahn can rock #)
