Severe iron deficiency can lead to anemia. That's about all I know, so cram her with iron, 'cause that alone is terrible.

You mean Anemia?
More prone to fatigue, more prone to brusing, problems maintaining weight typically, nothing too horribly serious. Kurt Cobain had it, you'll live :P
-Corey
P.S. - If she ever becomes pregnant, warn her not to take iron supplements, it can lead to discoloration of the teeth for the baby.
[Edit by PSP on [TIME]1111628243[/TIME]]

Yeah. It sucks. Who wants to be easily fatigued or bruised? Man, it's awful. I'm pretty sure there's something else, but I can't think of it...I know very little of medicine.

I'm no expert, but stick to eating Zentraedi-green vegetables regularly as well as everything with vitamin C and you two will be ok.
And yes, just as PSP said, severe iron deficiency is a mere euphemism for Anemia. Nothing serious, nothing chronic. Also Neo, as symptoms are regarded, besides the ones PSP mentioned, you also see small twinkling flashes when tired, which is to say, most of the time. :)

I have an iron deficiency and my grandmother had anemia.
An iron deficiency can make you have low energy (I would sleep like 12 hours a day), you have a weaker immune system and get sick easier than a normal person and stay sicker longer, and if it turns into really bad anemia you may have to get blood transfusions to keep your white blood cell count up.
I used to take iron pills, but they would make me sick to my stomach (a high concentration of iron can do that) so now I just take vitamins with iron added.
Foods you can eat that help: Red meats, spinach.
Actually, white meats help, too.

Eh.. Mayhaps that explains the 9-10 hours of sleep a night, Hard to wake up from, and permanent dark circles under the eyes x.x
And the general weak and tired feel when I relax, And don't ignore being weak.
