There is also a beetles album that when played backwards says something along the lines of "Turn me on, dead man".<p>I'm religious, and believe in a devil, but I think that this is all merely coincidence. I doubt Satan would waste his time influencing bands to word songs so when played backwards will give satanic messages. If anything, he'd influence bands to write lyrics frontwards (is that a word? o.o ) which are satanic, ala Marilyn Manson.<p>With so many songs out there, it isn't hard to believe that some, when played backwards, will contain audible words. I've wached movies backwards before, and aside from making it sound like it's in german, you do sometimes think you hear something understandable. <p>Listen to britney's again. It cuts off midword. I doubt Ms. Spears had the intelligence to figure out what words, when said backwards, would say "Sleep with me I'm not too young". I think it's just the product of people who have too much free time and imagination.

I believe in God, not in Satan, so I couldn´t care less about it :^)<p>Pretty much every LP of a really famous singer/band full of professional and personal adversaries/enemies on the media had at least one demonic chant if played backwards. What a coincidence.

I think the key thing is that most people don't believe in God or the Devil anymore (I know certain places like parts of America and Brazil are very religious, but there are so many more places that just aren't at all), so if many people talk about the Devil, they're just joking around, whereas obviously if a christian talked of the Devil or God it would be in a serious way since that is their belief.<p>For example, if I say "Thank God I got home before it started raining!" I don't actually mean that I am thanking God, since I don't believe in that. Equally, if I drew a picture of a little demonic guy I wouldn't be showing approval or worship of Satan, since I don't believe in that either. I do not meant that a nonbeliever would consciously follow God; that is absurd. But a being of infinite power and knowledge would be able to guide or inspire anyone in His creation.

Certainly; but that is a moot point anyway if His creations don't want to follow that inspiration, which many in history and the present day have manifested by their actions. God won't act against the freedom to choose - He gave it to us in the first place that we might act on our own accord.

Independently on whether religion you are going to follow, the first step to believe in God is to understand that He is much beyond what our limited minds can imagine, free from any anthropomorphic qualities and atributions people use to give to Him.<p>Unless we are all ubber-wise, God is a subject that should be avoided here.

I point out a principle that holds true in life regardless of whether on is religious or not and then I allude it to being a god-given gift and you call out "RELIGOUS ZEALOTISM!!!"
