This is one of my poems, soon to be published once again. It's written in the style of a very famous poet who wrote like this. Props to anyone who figures it out.

The Face of Madness
[TAB][TAB][TAB]
The madness came
And the madness went,
As I sat there, alone and cold.
The terror was there, minus my sanity.
For as long as I can remember,
I was a successful author.
Driven to write powerful words,
Most of which were unknown to myself,
Words often did flow unceasingly,
In retrospect I should have seen,
The madness within my soul,
Also the amnesia, memories I could not recall.
His appearance I remember vividly.
Dark, overcast and misty the night was.
The very same night I retired as a writer.
Amidst realization of what I would write.
Moving from place to place,
Scared from home to home,
For my works were loved and hated.
Yet they haunted me, as did this wraith.
I ran miles upon miles, just to escape him.
Chased by a phantasm so haunting,
Shrouded in rags and unending darkness.
His presence, the very presence, made me tremble.
Far and wide, away from him I would flee,
Yet never could I escape my tormentor
Eerily he knew every move I made.
Waiting, always waiting he was for me.
Eventually my funds ran low and my choices were few.
Family I had none, where they had gone, I didn’t really care.
All I had left was the resolve to confront him
To find a cessation to my dilemma, ease for my soul.
Upon the roof I stood, perched on the edge of the bricks.
My back was turned to the distance.
Face filled with resolve and determination,
Yet the terror was too overwhelming and powerful.
Finally before me he stood, cloaked and mocking.
My insides were frozen with cold, my heart threatened to stop.
The hood drew back, the ghastly image revealed.
The tormentor revealed, my madness returned hundred fold.
Visions, hundreds of visions flashed in my mind.
Memories I had forgotten, people, places and pets.
Such a evil and heartless man I had become.
My work priority, my family second to me.
My children were gone, my wife long driven away.
They had been ignored, as I wrote my horrifying works.
I cared not what I wrote, or how many cried in anguish.
Horror and brutality, paranormal and evil, my only loves.
The pain in my heart grew too much to bear, the tears began to fall.
Backwards I stepped in horror, Struck with what I had become.
Down I fell, soon to smack into the stone so cold.
The phantasm was me! I had been running from myself.
[TAB][TAB][TAB][TAB]By: Lord Khyron

[size=small][Edit by Lord Khyron on [TIME]1115177372[/TIME]][/size]
