Ok You've seen some of my poetry skils and all...<p>From what you've seen and can gather on me, DO you think i can become a good writer?

Yes. The key is constant revisions, criticisms, etc. I would advise you read <i>many</i> books on literary technique and such to hone your skills. Take advanced writing classes, participate in local workshops... develope yourself. So the answer is yes... you have the natural aptitude, and now you must refine it.

Being a writer myself (just finished my second short story! Look for "Last Echo" somewhere!) I think you definitely have what it takes. The key is originality. Find an unused angle and exploit. Find a need and satisfy it. And don't lose your creative edge, it's what we alll love about you

It might be a benefit to you Ein if you were to take some writing classes at a local Uni, even if you are still in HS.

Well you are the one who brought up ethnicity -- and I happen to be mixed (half black). So don't go there. Let's keep on topic. Ein -- as I was saying try out those Uni classes. It will make your talents stronger.

DROP IT NOW. BACK TO THE TOPIC AT HAND.<p>Ein, if you want to be a writer, or at least do it as a hobby, go for it. Write your heart out, no matter what people like your messed up english teacher has said to you. I for one see potential for your writing to be great, because you seem to have the talent of writing what you both feel and think. Keep it up.

Ein, I say that you have a natural aptitude towards poetry. The question is if you are willing to go balls-out to refine this talent. You MUST take some classes if you want to succeed. You MUST constantly read; you will pick up techniques effective and necessary to writing, provided you take this from the proper role-model.<p>Go for it, Ein.

Ein you ahve what it takes 100 fold, but i must agree that classes would be the superb thing for you to go for, your wrighting is exellent as is. (hmm our schools suck :p we both got ripped off on classes we wanted for pointless ones) We'll Ein as others have stated read ALOT and pick up some intresting techniques, like from "of mice and men"

Well...Steinbeck has a great style its kind of "home-based" yea no? ITs all cali' based and really mca has nothing for inspie....Grrr<p>as for classes if i could, i definatley would!
